Vineyard Picturesque Escape
Gorgeous Property, which included a happily welcomed pool, due to being quite warm during our 3 night stay. Very quiet, with beautiful, comfortable cottages with all the little luxuries to enjoy.

The property has a nice assortment of accommodation suites. The character of the rooms and grounds is charming and offers a refreshing change to other accommodation options. The position of the property positions it a close drive to Tanunda that offers a variety of dining options. The garden and grounds are excellent and well curated blending well with the old and new builings on the grounds. Well worth a stay.

Absolutely fantastic! Tranquil and picturesque grounds and beautifully restored accomodation. Literally everything was thought of and loved the little touches like the cheese platter. Epic spa bath and comfy beds & pillows. We struck accommodation gold booking this place in the Barossa.

Amongst the grape vines, some beautiful restored cottages. Close to Tanunda which has some excellent restaurants, and pick up a few bits from the supermarket for breakfast. Jerry met us personally to make sure we were all happy.

Beautiful grounds and rustic feel, Cosy interior and we really enjoyed our stay. I was disappointed there was no mention of the pool or grounds in the room as we didn’t notice this until we were leaving and saw people walking in bathers and then saw all the beautiful grounds. Hoping we get back and can enjoy them.

The welcome letter you receive prior to entry to the retreat has your automatic gates code as well as a letter explaining the layout of the property and grounds, we also attach a map of the property showing location of all suites, the pool, BBQ facilities, rose garden location and all other amenities at the retreat. This was a very nice getaway that allowed for an overnight stay in the Barossa. The historic and well restored grounds provide several private accommodation options, all with great character but still with enough modern amenities to make it a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautiful, and there is a pool and bbq area. The only issue may be the lack of dining options on site, but there are plenty of those in the Barossa and surrounds a short drive away. Unfortunately our schedule didn’t allow to sample the winery right next door – next time. There is no on-site reception but an envelope left for us provided all of the information we needed to get access and enjoy our stay, and a contact number is provided should any issues arise. Definitely not a family option, but for couples it is perfect and recommended.

Amazing property, great condition and rooms are perfect for romantic getaway. Spa huge and very clean. Pool is excellent - with sun and shade and plenty of seating. Very easy check in.

A little gem tucked away in the Barossa! Stayed for one night only but thoroughly enjoyed it, and the room (a loft) was full of character and suited us well. The grounds are pleasant, and the pool a huge bonus. Thanks, and will be back!

This is a beautiful, unique, rustic cottage stay, set on lovely, well maintained grounds. We would definitely recommend this accommodation for a romantic Barossa getaway.

The gardens are great and the service provided by Jerry and his team fantastic. The fact that the bar fridge was in the bathroom and that there was not enough space in the room to plug in the toaster and to properly sit down to enjoy the provided continental breakfast took away from having the perfect experience.

Hi Richard, So glad you loved our gardens and service. I am surprised you and your partner found the two sitting areas unsatisfactory for eating breakfast. The two velvet chairs and side table are very comfortable as is the patio setting under your verandah. The fact that you selected a "junior suite" for your overnight stay would indicate a smaller room than a "King suite" and as such we do our best to maximise the available space. Most guests place the toaster and/or kettle on the small occasional table and utilise the 5 outlet power board located beneath the table. The small bar fridge is placed on the counter-top of the spacious en-suite so the fridge's motor doesn't disrupt one's sleep. We're happy you enjoyed your stay.

Relaxing stay.
Breathtakingly beautiful. The grounds were superbly manicured, peaceful and calming. We stayed in the loft apartment, which was very charming and spacious. It was so nice to be able to sleep in as the upstairs bedroom seemed to be soundproof and dark. The bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable. A big thank you to our host Jerry, nothing was too much trouble.

I loved our stay. Room was romantic & had a hot tub big enough to swim in. The breakfast is not amazing so pension in a nice cafe breakfast. I felt like I was in an old cottage in England. The pool is absolutely fabulous. 1 car park close by.

We booked very last minute for 2nights, and the day before were given a free upgrade from our suite to the loft suite. Very clean, amazing double shower and bath and the pool was awesome! Perfect for a post Christmas getaway. Only two very small things I would suggest, we didn’t have a dish cloth to do dishes with, and also only 5 tea bags of different flavours, no regular tea. Jerry was amazing and very helpful when we checked in, and also prior with the upgrade and our questions about the property itself. A beautiful location close to many amazing wineries... will definitely be back!
