Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
not impressed
There were three of us in our party. The master bedroom with the queen-sized bed had NO windows and NO ventillation other than a floor fan. When we remonstrated that this was definitely not acceptable we were told that since we dealt with Expedia no other accomodations were available. We had to ask the owner to pull out the futon sofa/mattress. After he opened the bed he told us where we could find the sheets and blankets. We were left to make it up ourselves using sheets so thin they seemed to have only one side. It was a very warm evening and the master bedroom was hot and stuffy despite the floor fan. That evening we took it upon ourselves to pull off the mattress, and its thin sheets, and bring it into the main room and set it down on the tile floor. Now all three of us were crowded into the area near an open window, which allowed us to be somewhat cool during the night. The garden was charming as were the two puppies. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean and tidy as was the small kitchenette. We did not see the other accomodations in this motel so I don't know if they, too, lacked windows in the main sleeping area. Each one of us is a world traveler and none of us had EVER been in a bedroom without a window. This cannot be considered acceptable, comfortable or just plain safe in case of an emergency.
