Quick Taos stay

Posted Nov 20, 2017
We had a great time for our quick stay in Taos at the Blue Sky Resort. Amy and Paul were the perfect “innkeepers” for our stay. The breakfast was great, the room was comfortable, quiet, and quaint and there was easy access to everything we wanted to see and do in Taos. It would be a great venue for a wedding or other large gathering.

The perfect spot for the best of New Mexico

Posted Oct 24, 2017
Pros: The breakfasts, the staff, the peaceful setting, and the view--beautiful in the fall
Cons: Very little. The management, Joshua, and Alice were all great.
Location: Conveniently located but not in downtown.
A beautiful setting with great surroundings, peaceful, and wonderful staff who all care about your experience. Great breakfasts, and convenient to everything in Taos. I can't wait to go back for my sixth time.

Wonderful Historical Building

Posted Oct 13, 2017
Pros: Wonderful historical building and beautiful grounds.
Cons: The building is old and needs to be rehabbed.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast was extraordinary. For those who believe in such things, the property had great energy.

Cons: Would have been nice to have some choices for breakfast.
Location: Taos is a fun little town for a day of shopping. Beautiful scenery just east of town in the mountains
A bit out of town but not too far (about a mile). Nice staff, rustic inn, but very tasteful. Limited breakfast. Comfortable room without frills.

A little off the beaten path/but beautiful

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: Beautiful grounds and area, neatly tucked into a rural neighborhood with livestock and awesome mountain views.
Cons: Signage, particularly at night. Finding this location can be a bit frustrating.
Location: Taos is walkable (1.5-2 miles), or there is free public parking just before you get to town that makes this a great spot to visit Taos from.
Our stay started out shaky as we had a difficult time finding the place after arriving at night. That said, once we got settled it is in a very quiet area and we woke up to find a beautiful location. The hotel isn't anything over the top fancy but everything is clean and everything worked. This is more like a large bed and breakfast than a resort, so expectations should be tempered accordingly. It really is in a beautiful location that feels like a weekend in the country, but with the old town center of Taos only a mile and a half down the road.

Thank you for staying with us! We are just a tad off the beaten path. We're sorry our signage at night was not the best, we will look into making that brighter for our future guests. We hope you enjoyed your stay and I hope we made you feel as much at home as possible! We hope you come back to stay with us for on your next trip to Taos. Thank You

This is a beautiful place to get away and relax.

Posted Aug 23, 2017 on CheapTickets
Pros: Very relaxing ambiance.
Cons: B&Bs usually have many homemade items, i.e. jams, breads, etc. The food wasn't particularly special but then the new management had just started.
Location: Taos is a wonderful place to visit. The old Taos pueblo is a must-see.
We loved Blue Sky retreat and will probably be back. The brand new management was making some changes , especially to the food, to meet special dietary needs. It was a little slow starting (we were there 3 nights) but once they realized that I really needed to be accommodated this way (no garlic, no gluten) they were responsive. The grounds are just beautiful and the room was excellent.

Great Retreat Place

Posted Aug 21, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: I love the grounds. We decided we need to return in order to enjoy the beautiful pool, the meditative walk paths. We simply didn't plan enough time.
Cons: Well, the roads into the place, but because it is off the tourist path who cares?
Location: In spite of being off the busy tourist path, you can get to anywhere quickly. We went to the Taos Purblo. The learning experience was exceptional.G
We arrived exhausted and would not have found the place without Sire. I booked us incorrectly. NO PROLEM. The front desk person straighten out my worries, answered all of my questions. Soon we were in a quiet room decorated in Taos style.

Historic calming hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Cons: The screen doors of the rooms
The San Geronimo is my favorite place to stay in Taos. It represents Taos and SW history in so many ways. Integral to the history have been the additions that Pam and Charles added during their sojourn as owners. The meditation trail and the Labrynth are so welcoming. It offers a means of reflection and calm during one's busy lives and is so special when you are in Taos as a visitor, tourist on business person.
