Our room keys did not work and even after having them rekeyed, only one of them worked. We needed help getting the TV to work (though the man who came was very helpful.) Then cigarette smoke wafted into the room in the middle of the night, waking us up.

Good location in the middle of the main drag in Taos. Dispensary, super market, and tire store are within walking distance. Walmart, ski rental stores, and a few restaurants within 3-10 min drive. Taos is about 35 mins north and Sipapu is about 40 mins south. The bridge were Mickey married Mallory is about 30 mins west. Rooms were shockingly modern and well-maintained. Looks like they were renovated a short time ago. TV's were new, the beds were form and looked very expensive, and they had a complimentary Venere wireless phone charger on the desk. The pillows were too soft, though. Good wi-fi, parking right in front of your door. The desk doesn't face the TV, which is inconvenient if you're trying to watch TV while eating. They don't have a continental breakfast, but they have a fancy coffee shop with lots of paid food options. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful. It is nicely decorated, clean, and well maintained. Nic, at the front desk, was very helpful. He printed out suggestions for dining and sightseeing, and even delivered a bag of ice! Esy parking, quiet, and safe. Many dining options are a short drive away, as are shops and museums. Would definitely stay here again!

Mainly chose this property to go swimming in an indoor pool with our kids. Pool was shut down, no breakfast was served, it was shut down, and the room was a complete disaster. The plugs were haning off the wall, cords strung everywhere, no stopper for the tub to take a bath. Im very dissatisfied with my stay here. Wont ever choose this hotel again

Staff is awesome, the rooms are great, loved the lobby/coffee shop, but the parking lot was icy. The roof drained right into the lot and made it dangerous. My elderly dad and I almost fell multiple times.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay to visit the area and friends. Hotel was remodeling but did not hear any noise. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Room was newly remodeled and was very clean. would stay again if in Taos again. great location for our needs. Close to town and attractions. JS

The property was located at a convenient location. Service was good. Staff was well spoken and hospitable. A guy named Nick was very prompt and positive about helping us out whenever we needed any help. The property however has no restaurant or food options, other than a coffee shop. Also rooms were just OK.

The Taos Valley Lodge is being renovated, so the check in process was a little unusual. But the rooms have all been finished and they are very clean and modern. Very spacious. Parking was right outside our room, it was very convenient. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. We would recommend it to our friends and family. And we will stay there again when we come back to Taos.

We got an upgraded unit, remodel with new beds and furniture. It was great disappointment, the beds were too HIGH to get in, there was no easy chair, the chair was for a huge desk that was hard wood and hard to move, the bathroom was too small, if you are a big person, you could not move around when the door is closed. For all the bed design and accommodation, they want an upgrade charge of $20; there is no breakfast, the entry to the unit is from exterior parking. It is s souped up motel trying to charge like all other brand hotels, a terrible deal!!! glad it was only one night, feel trapped.

We are working very hard to remodel our Motel and upgrade the rooms with modern amenities such as 65inch smart TV’s with streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, new bed frames with BeautyRest Mattresses, Air Purifiers and smart device charging stations compatible with both Android and Apple with the ability to charge smartwatches too, besides that we have remodeled the Deluxe Rooms completely from new drywall, flooring to all new tile. We have been doing the remodel wanting to provide all modern amenities while keeping the vintage motel feel throughout the hotel. We are very proud of the fact that Taos Valley Lodge is a Mot built in the 80’s, therefore, we would never hide that fact. I have looked up your reservation, and it seems that you have gotten a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Room, paying the initial rate of 149 for a standard room. We had hoped you would enjoy this upgrade as we have heard wonderful feedback from all our guests in regards to the new rooms, and we are very disappointed to hear you have not enjoyed your experience. Upgraded to newly remodeled room when I requested a quiet room. Needs elevator. Large Peet's coffeeshop attached. Would be great if they included a complimentary breakfast there or discounted breakfast. Refrigerator and microwave were a plus. Very helpful friendly check in person.

The customer service was wonderful. The facility is not new but under construction and hopefully making upgrades. The main attraction is Taos not the hotel so if you are looking to spend most of your time outdoors it’s the perfect place to lay your head at night. The coffee shop in the hotel is perfect place to gather and have hand crafted coffees and teas.

It was an amazing stay. Hotel is under construction, but front desk upgraded us to a newly remodeled room. The espresso bar was a great gathering spot. Views of the mountains spectacular!

The staff was extra accommodating and very nice. Even though some of the property was under renovation, everything was clean and neat. The coffee shop on site was cute and the coffee was great. They also have complimentary coffee in the rooms and in the lobby. We live in Albuquerque, so will definitely be back and have already recommended it to friends!
