This is one of our top places to stay ever. The staff is so friendly and helpful any time they walk by they take the time to say hi. Any request is taken seriously. Had a wonderful time just walking the property and the room was well laid out. So appropriate for the area.

From the arrival, our experience was very sub-par. The staff was inexperienced, our sink drain was plugged, the bathroom was not very clean, we were charged for multiple items that we did not purchase (of course, we didn't discover that until we were home and I reviewed my credit card charges) and some of the wait staff were totally un-trained on how to serve and take care of their guests. We have paid much less for hotel stays and received better service and had cleaner accommodations. We ate at the resort because there are not street lights along the street there and we did not feel safe walking to town and back in the evening. We will visit Taos again but will not return to this resort.

Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere and staff. Such a beautiful location, with great art everywhere. It's very clean, it's got good food, hot tub and pool, social activity areas, and a beautiful garden. Would highly recommend. Can't say I've had such a nice experience anywhere else as of late, it's just damn cozy.

Beautiful property and pool. My room was large and beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a tour on arrival. They shared recommendations easily and without being asked. Very personal touches. Parking was difficult. I recommend valet. The valet staff was very helpful - even if you wanted to self park.

By far the best hotel we’ve been so far. We even had fireplace in our room. Staff were else extremely friendly and professional. Library/game room has some really old collection of books.

The people in Restaurant and maintenance staff, valet parking staff is amazing and enthusiastic to help customer. Cleaning staff need improve a little. In the last two days, they did not completely clean my room. I still see water marks on mirror and trash near toilet is stay the same.

The atmosphere and staff were amazing. The room is so cute with a fireplace. Everyone introduced themselves and were very helpful. The location is close to the square for food and shopping but it still feels like you’re tucked into the mountains!

When we checked in, there was a 40 minute delay. This morning water was out for 40 minutes. And heater was broken so we slept in 60 degree room. All that said a nice hotel.

El Monte Sagrado is a special place with a very grounding, peaceful energy. The ambience caters to a meditative space, conducive to connection with nature through a number of cultures, most prominently Native American. The resort's architecture is very traditionally New Mexico, with the territorial style of wooden vigas, stucco adobe-looking buildings, and long outdoor corridors surrounded by lawns, trees, and meandering ponds. The lobby is spectacular, with a spiral and giant citrine crystal in the ceiling, a fireplace to sit by, and the bar and restaurant are just inside. The greenhouse atrium and pool / hot tub area are simply amazing! Relaxing amongst the greenery was idyllic. The resort is a short 1/2 mile to the Taos Plaza area if shopping and restaurants are your thing. It's a great home base to explore the area. We actually chose to stay here over Ojo Caliente this trip so we could be in town. We will definitely return for another relaxing 4-day stay!

Beautifully decorated rooms, very comfortable beds, super friendly and helpful staff. Even though the outside temperature was well below freezing, we all felt warm and cozy inside with all the fireplaces throughout and the and lovely rejuvenating hot tub in the fitness center
