Do not be fooled by the very attractive exterior of this Hotel. The rooms offered by this facility are clean, newly painted,1960 era with some renovation over the years, similar to what you would expect at a older hotel along the highway in a small town with metal door and exterior entry. I have ...

Charming antiques make this hotel feel like a B&B. We felt like we were guests in someone's home. Ask Jerry for the best places to eat...he won't steer you wrong!

We stayed 2 nights. Our room was not cleaned the morning. Dirty towels on the floor were not picked up . When we called the front desk for clean wash clothes, there were not ANY available. One employee at the front desk tried to help but her resources were limited.
After a day of skiing, the Blue Heron provided the perfect spot to unwind and crawl into a comfy bed.
In room WiFi was intermittent and the TV kept shutting off and coming back on. Two trash cans in the room and both were in the bathroom. Had lots of electrical outlets that was well needed as I have to plug in a CPAP machine. Told the clerk on check out and all I got was a "sorry"

The staff were helpful and friendly. When my room needed attention the staff were quick to take care of things. The property is starting to undergo some renovations which are needed. Was a reasonably priced room for the time of year (holidays) and ski season in Taos area.

My two grade school kids and I came to Taos for a ski weekend. The Snow Mansion made our visit so easy...close to the ski area and with a full kitchen so we could make our own meals. The kids immediately felt at home and relaxed here. The Snow Mansion is in a beautiful quaint little town with anything ...

We arrived in the wee hours after 14 hours of travel. As we made our approach, we could see only the winding road ahead in the darkness. The wonderful agent had been in communication and left the lights burning - beckoning us into a cozy, comfy sanctuary where we fell fast asleep.... Imagine our ...

Sanjay made sure we had every little thing covered. Great host.
This home provides plenty of room for a few families. We were a group of 3 families--6 adults and 6 teenagers. We rented the house and the casita and all adults had their own bedroom and bathroom. Our girls shared the room with the twin beds and the boys used the futon beds provided. The home is ...
We have decided that we will plan on staying at this home every time we come to Taos for vacation again. The home has a beautiful look to it with several rooms that the family can relax in. We spent most of the time in the bigger family room with the Kiva fireplace going. They had a bar set up for ...
Great home away from home! Beautiful little house. Comfortable and cozy. Close to plaza. Home has all the amenities you could ask for.
The house is very roomy and has a generous driveway. The bedrooms were cozy but the sheets were a little dusty and there were a few insects in the corners. The kitchen was a good size and included utensils and dishes which were an added convenience! Overall Casa Sofia is a beautiful home.
Warm and comfortable haven on a quiet street. Within walking distance to bus stop for ski area bus; less than forty five minutes to Taos Ski Valley via free bus. Owners were very helpful and hospitable, and Casita is well kept and very clean with convenient parking.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home. I can't say enough about your place. We all loved the home and experience we had staying there. It has to be the BEST place I've stayed in the mountains. Great golfing for those that golfed. Hope we can come back a visit again. Thank you for allowing ...
