Great for skiers!

The price and location of this hotel makes it a good value for anyone spending days on the slopes and evenings exploring the many restaurants in town. We were extremely disappointed, however that although we had booked and paid in advance we were not able to get the King Bed room promised. Everyone blamed someone else. . . Not good customer service.

Grand spot for a snow weekend.

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Went for a snowboarding weekend at Taos. Very friendly and efficient staff, both up front and in the coffee shop at the free, hot breakfast. Clean room, refreshing shower, warm, quiet and comfy. Easy walk to food and beer. Can't beat it for price.

Disappointing

Posted Jan 23, 2016
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Cleaning my room, new tvs, a hot tub that works, wifi in room.
Location: SKi at Taos
Arrived to find out the hot tub was not working. Once I found my room, I found out wifi only worked in the lobby. Everyone was in the lobby so the wifi was useless (thanks guy streaming the football game that was on TV in your room). Room was small and dated, washroom showed wear and tear. Second day the playoff game on TV kept getting a black screen over the transmission which required changing the channel back and forth every two minutes (missed an amazing play) and when calling the lobby, the front desk suggested i go across the street to a bar to watch the game. Decided to take a bath since the hot tub didn't work only to find out I had no towels. I later figured out that the washroom was not cleaned at all. On the plus side the breakfast was nice, it was a selection of real items that were cooked to order and the waitresses were nice. Come here at your own peril.

Not a bad hotel but...

Posted Jan 5, 2016
We had absolutely no wifi. When asked about it we were told it was spotty because they were switching carriers, but we could come to the lobby. I wish we had been told this when booking a room.

Dirty

Posted Jan 4, 2016
Pros: The staffer was nice
Cons: The whole hotel!!!!
Location: location to town and other things to do was good.
We were doing a girls getaway. We booked a two queen room, upon entering the room we noticed the roof was leaking on to one of the beds. Also, there were ants in the bathroom. We went back to the office and informed them, at first the staffer on duty said we would have to call Expedia because they did not have any other rooms. Then he remembered that they had a 1 king bed suite and a smoking 2 queen bed room. He also called around to see if there were rooms available anywhere else in town but did not have any luck. We took the two rooms, I thought I could handle the smoking room because I grew up with parents that smoked, I was wrong, it stunk so bad it made me sick to my stomach. Also, I turned down the bed and there was hair and I don't want to guess what else on the sheets. I don't think it had been cleaned since the last people stayed there. We wound up sharing the king room. Clean would NOT even come close to what it was, carpet was filthy, wearing my slippers they were filthy from walking on the carpet, bathroom, I don't think we caught anything but felt we had to wash down tub before using shower. Besides how nice Dustin the staffer was I would NOT recommend this to even my enemy.

Decent but rooms definitely need some work

Posted Dec 29, 2015
Pros: Great location and free awesome breakfast
Cons: overall facilities are way outdated
Location: Perfect location
While the rooms were clean the overall condition of the facility need some serious restoration. TV's, bathroom and heating are extremely old.

Hotel was close to the plaza, the breakfast was fantastic, especially the choice of green or red chile which was delicious!
