Cleaning ladies did a great job, room & hotel were better then i expected them to be. Very good location for Taos Pueblo if the road isn't closed. Great burger spot right around the corner.

Older southwestern motel

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Location: Taos New Mexico needs no introduction...the old southwestern city, art and architecture. Location...location...location!
My room was in a single story wing, very quiet and peaceful. I loved the architecture. Motel brings back great memories of the 1950's style of motels throughout the US. Those were the years! Thank you, Harold Kalb, Architect Retired [70 yrs old]

Pros: The location is good. The café at the hotel is good for breakfast.
Cons: The sewer line needs maintaining. Return the inroom coffee.
We have stayed here several times and the experience is good. They have had some trouble with the sewer line, and the toilet did not flush right. They took the in room coffee pots out of the room. The breakfast at the café is good. The bed was comfortable.

Good value. All in under $65. For an older facility that could use a face-lift, it was adequate for my one night stay.

Pros: Great Location
Cons: Remodel the rooms.
Location: Wonderful locations and close to restaurants.
Room smelled a little moldy. Negative part is there is no café for breakfast. The staff were extremely wonderful trying to make them comfortable. They are trying to reorganize the place and does need some cleaning. Location was great as able to go to some great restaurants.

Mid-Season/Slow Season Weekend Retreat

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: off season pricing
Cons: Vacuum carpet under bed and furniture
Location: Central location and walking distance to downtown
Front desk staff friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Initially reserved a single Q bed but given an upgrade. Got to my room and found the room had not been cleaned or someone else was using it? Anyway, lights were on and bed not made up. Front desk person quickly found me another upgraded room; larger than I needed but worked well. Front desk friendly and apologetic about the whole event. She later checked in to make sure this room suited was in good shape and I was satisfied. Facility is old and outdated, but works fine if you are looking for a place to rest and chill. Bathroom is very dated, basic and nothing fancy; water stains, functional shower head and sensitive sewer system. For the off season price I would return and take advantage more the events the facility offers. As well as check out the charm and quirkiness of Taos.

Pros: Location. Quiet.
Location: In the middle of it all.
Breakfast at the Blue Mountain Cafe was great. Room was what we were looking for.

Older facility that has potential but doesn't

Thin pillows no shampoo even after requested. Old facility w/minimal amenities. I would stay at el Puebla across the street for similar price!

Basic "no frills" hotel, friendly staff, clean & quiet. On site restaurant is very good. Walking distance to other restaurants & shops.
