Don't waste your time! This place is a joke!

Posted Jun 27, 2016
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
Location: Town not at all as it says online....run down and poor.
We called to say we would be ahead of schedule and asked if they could accommodate an early check in. We were told maybe at 1pm. Arrived at 1...room not ready. Went out and about the town came back at 3...still no room. Came back at 4 (when check in starts) others were being told their rooms weren't ready either. Got checked in. Went to room. WRONG ROOM! The room I was given was not what I had reserved. Went back to office and was told it would be two hours before other room was ready. Was walked to what was suppose to be a vacant room to see size...someone's stuff was still in it! Wound up having to stay in a room which was not what we payed for! Such a disappointment! Would not recommend this place to anyone! Save yourself the aggravation!

Thank you for filling out the review about our beloved Inn. We do have our wrinkles and sometimes they create guest service and comfort issues. We apologize and are caught between guest comfort and authenticity. I cannot tell you how helpful your comments are to us as we use them as a guide on what guest issues to address next. Thank you again.

Ok hotel at edge of town

Posted Jun 25, 2016
Pros: The pueblo style. The breakfast.
Cons: Updated bathroom.
Location: The location was towards the edge of the town. Taos is full of things to do as are the nature areas in the vicinity. Kasha-Katuwe was great.
I liked the environment here in the pueblo style with a nice grassy courtyard. The breakfast was good. But the A/C was loud and we were either cold or hot. Not sure all the rooms are outdated but ours certainly was. The tiles in the bathroom seemed cracked and stained and the water drained so slowly in the shower that I was standing in water up to my shins by the end of the shower. The bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night.

Dear Taos Traveler, Thank you for filling out the review about our beloved inn. Your assessment of those courtyard rooms is accurate. The rooms are smaller, a little dark and truly done form original style of when the hotel was built 85 years ago. We do have our wrinkles and sometimes they create guest service and comfort issues. We apologize and are caught between guest comfort and authenticity. That is why when we renovate we do so with a lot of thought and purpose. You did notice our beds which are top of the line, you also noticed that the room is a bit dark which is quite common (albeit a little uncomfortable) when the hotel was built in 1931. I cannot tell you how helpful your comments are to us as we use them as a guide on what guest issues to address next. Thank you again. Kindest Thoughts, Paul Aragon Sagebrush Inn Taos, New Mexico

Good experience. Would stay there again, but would take my own pillow.

Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of hosting you at our beloved Inn. I am especially happy that you found our staff friendly and attentive. Being an 85 year old iconic New Mexico hotel is never easy but always rewarding. We find people like you that embrace our history, revel in our artwork and enjoy our company to be a perfect fit for us. We embrace our wrinkles and are thrilled when our guests look at us and say "how charming". Thank you for seeing that in us. I'm so glad you enjoyed our breakfast and we do everything we can to keep the grounds peaceful and lovely for you and the four legged guests that frequent our hotel. Nice stay in Taos

Posted May 18, 2016
Pros: the breakfast each morning was very good!!
Cons: Rooms could use updating...I did like the set up of the rooms; almost like having two rooms together that just shared a full bath.
Location: Location was very close to all attractions...enjoyed Rio Grande Gorge bridge, Taos Pueblo tour and shopping.
The staff at Sagebrush was very accomodating, rooms were average and could use some updating; the best part of the stay was the breakfast each morning---overall, it was comfortable and enjoyable.

Nice historical hotel

Posted May 15, 2016
The receptionist helped changing our room from the new building to the old one, which gave us a chance to stay in a real adobe building. The inn prepared an brief history of it for guests who are interested in. The introduction said that there was a president stayed there once, but unfortunately nobody knows whom he is. Haha!

Nice hotel

Posted May 9, 2016
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. The accommodations were clean and impressive. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that needed to be improved.
Location: Located on the main thoroughfare for easy access. Since we were only staying for the night;; not interested in things to do nearby.
Arrived late, great accommodations were available. Great dinner in the dining room and an even better breakfast buffet the following morning. Super pleased with this hotel.

Hotel is really nuce. Has everything I expected from a old hitel. I loved the room. It feels like living in the last century. I loved the kiva fireplace. they need to upgrade mattreses. I like the atmosfera in the hotel but I expect the commodities of 2016. Matreses were very old and inconfortable.
