Great home base for a relaxing Taos vacationPosted May 25, 2015 on Hotels
Relaxing and restorative setting. Close to downtown Taos but far enough away to not have to listen to all the downtown traffic of noisy big trucks and motorcycles. Served excellent breakfast every morning. This is a fantastic getaway destination.

Nice weekend at San GeronimoPosted Mar 25, 2015 on Hotels
My wife and I were in Taos for a long weekend. The San Geronimo Lodge was very nice overall. The staff was the best part. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts that were served were delicious and more than filling. The room was ok, but not great. The location was perfect. Right near the edge of the foothills and only a couple miles from the towns center (long walk or very short drive).

Historic San Geronimo LodgePosted Feb 14, 2015 on Hotels
Very quaint lodge in a quite and lovely little section of Taos. Delicious breakfasts, with detailed preparation, and tailored to our dietary request. Very personable innkeeper who offered to tour us through the lodge and expounded upon its historic roots and stories. This was a fantastic retreat away from the hubbub of the ski resort in the evenings.

Taos History & TraditionPosted Feb 11, 2015 on Hotels
This Historic architecturally traditional Taos Lodge is perfectly located near town but secluded enough for a quiet getaway. Rooms are cozy, although carpet could be updated, with lovely views. This lodge is probably best enjoyed in summer and fall when guests can take advantage of the pool and surrounding gardens. Service was very good.

Charming Lodge with Amazing StaffPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels
I came to Taos for a restorative retreat for the New Year holiday. My ending up at the San Geronimo lodge was serendipitous in my opinion. The staff are so kind and welcoming, the room I stayed in was so comfortable and relaxing. This place was perfect for a quiet getaway to rest after a long year. It's hard to be any more off the beaten path in Taos than Taos is already but they manage it which resulted in a quiet property to spend time in which was still close enough to the Main Street in Taos to grab dinner or see the sights but allowed a way to get away from the tourist hubbub. I spent many an hour relaxing by the fire in their main room reading and relaxing and enjoyed their hot breakfast each morning. I found their grounds beautiful and inviting even covered in snow and traversed their prayer path and labyrinth a couple times enjoying the chance to reflect peacefully. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and am so grateful for my time here.
