Elevator button on 3rd floor was out of order. Not a big deal since I can easily walk down but it was an issue for a handicapped friend. Facility was decent and clean.

The hotel was okay other then we was stuck in the 3rd floor the elevator worked but once we got the the 3rd floor and got in our room if we need it to go back out we had to send a text to staff to send it to the 3rd floor but the text thing only worked twice the other 30 times we had to go out we had to take the stairs with items and stuff not to mention wifi kept on disconnecting….

Third floor elevator button wasn’t working but workaround was acceptable. Room had left overs from previous tenant in coffee maker and candy in a drawer. Would like electrical outlets at bedside table and a grab bar or two in the shower. Breakfast was nice and parking was convenient. Personnel were friendly and polite. I would stay again if I’m in the area.

I loved the hotel, it’s just that I wish I didn’t have a room with a broken shower rod but other then that I loved my stay!

My stay at Hotel Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Doswell was beyond disappointing. The staff was unhelpful and indifferent to my concerns. Not only was the light fixture in my room malfunctioning, but the TV didn't work either. The shower was clogged, leaving me standing in ankle-deep water. The overall appearance of the hotel was outdated and filthy. To top it off, the elevator's call button was broken, and the makeshift solution of texting a number to summon it was ineffective—I ended up waiting for 10 minutes before giving up and walking down. The thought of potential bedbugs made me prefer a two-hour drive home after an exhausting day rather than endure another moment in that dismal establishment."

Staff was nice . When we entered the room it was candy on the floor and some trash in the trash can. We went to the pool but couldn’t stay long because the chlorine/chemicals in the water were too strong. It burned my sons eyes.

Dirty hallways/ pool/gym. The lobby as far as aesthetics and cleanliness doesn’t match the rest of that hotel. Musty odor, beds are mid. I came to the area to visit family, I guess if you were coming to Kings Dominion or you wouldn’t really care about the hotel. Hotel really could care less about much. For me its the $130 a night. This is like a $60 hotel/motel. Never again

Everything was great but the train at night (twice) that is super long and loud and shakes the whole hotel. Didn’t read any reviews about it before booking but definitely wasn’t prepared for that.

The property seemed in run-down condition. We had stayed in Country Inns before and this one was not as nice. This hotel serves the area in the summer season as itis adjacent to a theme park. The property is next to a railway crossing, hence we noticed ear plugs provided on the night tables. Some furniture was broken, Bathroom light out and the phone was dead and did not work. Generally not a good experience.

Very odd area right off the highway. Very close to train tracks but still quiet. Room was dated but main areas downstairs were updated. Relatively clean. Not many food options nearby, had to drive into next town over for anything other than fast food. Overall, just alright.

Fit the short term need
We went for two nights and chose this location since it’s close to Kings Dominion. The lobby area is nice and inviting. The rooms look like they could use a refresh with worn out furniture, dirty windows, and a light without a lamp shade. The breakfast was nothing special as the Apple and orange juice were watered down. The options were not plentiful, but the coffee was good. The location worked well for Kings Dominion, it know the area is kind of industrial with train tracks, trucker stops, vs a welcome stop. Go 5 min down the road and you will find hotels close to restaurants and more.

Beware of train
Nice proximity to King's Dominion and nice cleaning staff. Check in person was not friendly or helpful. Train honking and coming through at 3am was a real shock! Hotel is fine for the price.

The breakfast here is terrible. There’s not many options if you are gluten-free. There is pork sausage, and waffles. That’s about it. There was no yogurt, fresh fruit, or eggs for most of our stay.
