Parking is a little tough but it's in a great spot. Especially if you want to take the 9am ferry to Tangier. It's literally a 2 minute walk. Lots of walkable history and good food.

Everything was great except our room was really damp. Everything felt wet and we couldn’t figure out why. There was a mini fridge but it didn’t work. It was quiet which was nice.

The hostel is in a great position for catching the ferry. Paid indoor parking is at the top of the street, other parking is limited. The Hostel is not well signed in the front or the back but if tou find the Alameda restaurant just go in there. Perfextly adequate with no frills but also no English TV channels.

Very convenient location
Stayed one night prior to catching a ferry to Morocco early in the morning. We were looking for a comfortable and clean hotel close to the port. The hotel was right across the road from the port so it was very convenient location wise The room was large, very clean and well furnished. The room was very comfortable and actually better than the photos on the hotel's website indicated, which was a very pleasant surprise. Overall we were very happy in finding a very reasonably priced hotel room that exceeded our expectations.

Great location close to ferry terminal and restaurants. Relatively easy walk from bus station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our suite was huge and very nicely decorated. Good sized bathroom.

Hostal Alameda was right on a big plaza on the main street just steps from the port - perfect location. Street parking was free right in front.

It would have been a relatively nice place to stay, across the street from the ferry terminal EXCEPT they were having the major carnival going on that blasted loud music with pounding drums until 5:00 in the morning. The hotel did email me and warn me, after I had left on my trip and was not getting them.

The hotel is the closest hotel to the ferry so it's quite convenient. NO parking is available so that is a hassle if you have a car. Restaurants are right near the hotel so that is convenient but can also be noisy at night. Overall a reasonable price for a bare bones type hotel.

Very convenient location near the Tarifa ferry terminal and the huge sandy beach. Smallish room was comfortable and well maintained.

Charming hotel in good location
Hotel Alameda is located in the oldest part of Tarifa. The hotel has an older section and a newer, separate building above a bustling restaurant. We stayed in the newer section, which was very convenient and nice. My only caution is that the street noise from the restaurant below can be quite loud at night, but we overlooked that for the convenient location. And the young man at the front desk was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant.

Lovely stay in Tarifa at Hostal Alameda
We loved our stay at Hostal Alameda! The location is excellent - close to everything and only a couple minutes to walk to the port to catch a ferry to Tangier. We stayed in the annex location just two doors away from the main hotel. We loved the annex common room! Our hotel room was very comfortable as well. The sky in Tarifa is the most beautiful blue we’ve ever seen! Stay here if you can!

This hotel was a very good deal for us. Fairly priced and right in the middle of downtown Tariffa. The staff was professional and friendly, and the rooms had everything we needed. Very nice place!

The pros :good size room , room temperature was fine , excellent location close to ferry , price o.k. The cons : very noisy because of reception hall next door , lack of customer focus from management

Convenient and simple hotel
The hotel was nice and the front desk was helpful. The hotel is very close to the ferry to Tangiers, Morocco (the main reason for our stay). The only part that was a bit odd was that we were staying in the annex and not the main hotel. It did not feel as secure since there was no front desk and people did not always close the annex front door behind them.

Hostel in Tariffa
The Hostel was in a good position being close to the port & shops. However, the room was not as shown on the photo being small albeit very clean and the bed comfortable. However, we wouldn't go back as the noise from the streets was extreme to say the least, with people partying until all hours and then to top it all a couple staying in the hostel started arguing & shouting at 03.30am in the morning.
