this hotel is beautiful. one of the nicest places i’ve stayed in Vietnam

Our stay at the Hotel du Lac Signature as a family of five with three kids (two teens) was incredible. Communications before arrival were fantastic, it was in a great location in Hanoi and the accommodation itself was beautiful. Two things that really stood out were: 1) The food: the breakfast buffet was amazing, with everything being extremely fresh and varying every day. 2) the staff. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel with such friendly and attentive staff. Every single team member was would greet us with a smile and offer to help at every turn. We really felt like VIPs- but I could see this is how they treated every guest. If I ever stay in Hanoi again, I would stay at the Hotel du Lac Signature without a second thought and couldn't recommend it more to anyone else travelling to Hanoi.

DO NOT STAY HERE. WORST HOTEL had a booking of 9 rooms. With 17 x people in total. And an extra booking for 2 x room was made. We cancelled days before arriving and WAS ONLY GIVEN 50% refund on 1 x room. LOUSY HOTEL Towels not in room No adjoining rooms as we had pre arranged 6 months before arriving and confirmed multiple times. Mistake at airport pickup Land we weeee stuck waiting in 40 degrees heat Bedroom window won’t open. Jammed Exfan. Doesn’t work in shower / toilet Bar on level 10. 1 x the beer taps doesn’t work. And only having 2 x bottles beers in fridge at happy hours - rooms so noisy. Staff walk hallway and talking early morning - Carpets are disgusting - Level 8. Receiving noise due to broken tile from above kitchen - toilet seat in 2 x rooms broken - Putting alcohol on our rooms which we didn’t have - Bar runs out of wine and doesn’t tell us and serve terrible wine When checking out. They tried charging us money for items we never used. DO NOT STAY HERE
