They turned off the heating system on the day of checkout - no hot water for shower. The A/C heating was operated with a lowed noice

Picture to buy the room is nice but all is old not help from front desk bathroom small old lock to enter the room , noise all night on the street peoples are not sleep after 2 in the morning

My only hesitancy in recommending this hotel is, I don't want to increase competition for a spot the next time I want to book it myself! For the price, I was quite pleased. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and I was pleasantly shocked at how QUIET the room was for the city center. I actually got a good night's sleep! I also felt uncommonly safe as a solo female traveler. I could not put my finger on why, but it just "felt" home-y. The room was small, and the shower worked for me as a petite person, but would be tricky for a large person. Scale met my expectations for the price, though. Very clean. The location is excellent--3 minute run to the beach, and the Tel Aviv waterfront is a runner's paradise (if you can hack the heat). Walk to Jaffa, museums. I really enjoyed the cheerful rooftop deck--just right for morning yoga, or for unwinding in the evening. The small (and very traditionally Middle Eastern) gesture of having water available at the entry hit me as being meaningful after I ceased to have it at my next-stop hotel; now I miss it! Front desk staff was MOSTLY super helpful and friendly. Some of the early morning folks could use some sweetening, but hey I wouldn't want to work night shift either. Tip: try to get a quote from the hotel on a taxi price before you leave the airport. Though this is no reflection on the hotel, my *%$#@ cabbie charged me DOUBLE! You can also take the train + bus if you have energy after a long flight. Bus stop is ~2-min walk.

Staff was really helpful and the location is excellent. However, the room was very small and it is very noisy from the bars underneath hotel.

Excellent location
The location is perfect and the selling point of this hotel- it's close to the beach, shopping, restaurants/bars, etc. Very basic hotel with small room but was perfect for what I needed. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was clean.

Best location hotel for a fair price
The staff were friendly and accommodating especially Hannah who assist us. The Best location for shopping at carmel market 3 minute walk only and dizengoff Center and mall. Great strolling at promenade beaches with breathtaking views. Small stores nearby the hotel like the Allenby St. And King George Street with lots of stuffs to buy, and good cafe and restaurants nearby, you will not get hungry. Though the room was small but clean.

Good area
Hotel Galileo is near some great cafes and restaurants and shops. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is older and a bit run down and there is no lift, so if you have heavy baggage bare that in mind. I booked on a budget, and it’s two steps up from a backpackers, and it’s safe and clean and relatively quiet which is all you really need.

Small hotel with byt a few rooms on one floor. The rooms are small, but adequate, airconditioned, and with a good bathroom/shower. No lift/elevator. No gym, but a 3 minute run from the beach oromenade. No breakfast, but very centrally located for cafes, and also for nightlife. Helpful staff.

Economy for the Budget Conscious Traveller
Small hotel with no frills, but it gets its job done. No breakfast, but great places within a a short walk. No restaurant, but many places a very short walk away. No gym, but the beach promenade is just a short run away.

We needed a place to stay from 3:30pm check-in, to a 9:30pm checkout due to a 12:55am flight back home. After reading other reviews about the water temperature in the shower, we must agree.. Much too cold to shower.. yikes! Don't forget to head up the the roof to take in the great views.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Its a cute small hotel. Great location- near a big market and a main street with lots of restaurants. Its not a huge amenity-filled hotel. The concierge was both helpful and unhelpful. They didn't help bring our bags up (which is not the biggest deal but my mom is older and our bags were heavy so we had to do 2 trips up and down the stairs, and even seeing this, they didn't get up to help). However, they did allow us to store our bags there for one night for free when we didn't have a room at the hotel in between our reservations. We had also booked two of the three of nights separately and they were able to switch our reservations so we didn't have to move rooms (this was a huge help since the hotel was fully booked for New Years). Overall, good hotel, clean, comfortable beds- if you just need a place to crash after a day of touring its solid.

I don't know how this hotel has the 3.6-star rating. There is a bar and a restaurant right below and it is so noisy at night. The room was so small - we could barely move. Please consider before booking this hotel.

Convenient and clean .
Close to the main sites and beach . I would say very good location . The aria around its not very clean but i felt safe and all was good for a single woman traveler . Room was a bit small but i had all the facilities i needed . Doesnt have an elevator so for eldery people it could be a problem .
