It was in a good location, staff were very helpful, rooms were cleaned daily with lots of tea and coffee. The only downside is that the whatshap call is not working.
Only one good about this hotel - location and price. We was need to store our luggage and spend day and 1/2 night at this place before our flight. Absolutely no sound insulation between rooms, smells in room. Very old furniture, carpet.
Never will stay again even for that short time.

Small
Rooms are small but you get what you pay for. It's a budget hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to beach and restaurants.

Worked, but could improve
The room was mostly clean, but very worn. The A/C unit had clearly not been cleaned in some time as it was either caked with dirt or had mold on it. It is true what other reiewers said about no hot water. The sink had it, but not the shower. It was OK for me because it was so hot when i was there that i wouldn't have used any hot water anyway. The staff was very polite and helpful. The location is excellent!! Near the beach, near several small shops and several good restaurants!
Very good location to where I wanted to be. Free coffee good but machine switched off too early. Woken by other very noisy guests sound insulation between rooms not good. Good basic hotel.
To start off, no parking! I spent an hour and 20 minutes looking for parking, which eate in to my, anyway, very short sleeping time.
There is no elevator, be prepared to schlep your luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
The rooms are tiny, the photos on the site are an illusion. I also got the distinct impression someone had recently smoked in the room. It was pretty dank.
Luckily I had a really really short stay.
Was not worth the price.
Only good thing about it was the location.
Horrible
No hot water to shower with a outside temperature of 37 Celsius
We quite the next day
We didn’t stay the 2 days we booked
Very very small room no space to walk
No closet to hang out clothes

The people at the reception desk nice and helpful, good touch to have coffee and tea at the reception area. The hotel needs an update, old carpet, the bathroom towels very old. Other than that perfect location. Thank you

Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay.
Best Regards,
Sun City Hotel.
Just had one sheet on the bed so it was a little cold! Otherwise great stay, easy check in and check out, left my luggage there after I checked out to explore and they were cool with it.

Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!
Hotel location was great but the room was small, especially the bathroom. It wasn’t anything like the picture, shower was probably 3x3; it was so tiny and you can barely move. Walls are super thin where you could hear everything from outside and inside. Best thing was it was very close to the beach, less than 10 minutes walk. Air conditioner was great and the front desk workers were very helpful and accommodating. Needs a major remodel though.
They didn't mind that I was half hour early checking in. Service was extremely polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Arranged a taxi and looked after my luggage after I'd checked out. Would stay again, only 5 minute walk from the beach. What more can you ask?
The room was small but enough for what I needed. Would have been too small for two people. The powerful air conditioning was very welcome on a warm July day. It was clean but aging (water stains on the wall in my room for example). The front desk staff was very helpful, and the location was great. It was a 4-5 minute walk to the beach and steps from a big street (forgot the name) with lots of bars and restaurants that went on for a long way. Overall great for one person.
All was good! The room stuff are old but in well condition and all was very clean

Basic but clean and well placed hotel.
This hotel was in the budget end of hotels in Tel Aviv and is fairly basic. The hotel is well placed for the beach, pubs and restaurants. The single room was small and basic (windowless) but did have its own balcony. This was not a worry for me as I was only in the room at bed time. The main plus point for me was that the room was clean. It would be unfair not to point out that at the time of writing there is major rework being done on the building directly opposite. This means it gets very noisy from about 7:30 in the morning.
Sun City was a two nights recovery stop over before our flight out from Ben Gurion airport, we needed a long rest after walking all over the Holy sites in the old city of Jerusalem. Bus from Jerusalam dropped us close by the hotel, it is close to the beach, local eateries around hotel, most of the staff had personalities except the lady that checked us in late in the evening 1st night. Transport is literally at the front door and getting out to the airport was easy. However those that are a little prudish might not like the go go clubs and show dancer clubs in the surrounds. We felt safe and secure whilst staying.
My mother was really missing the elevator.
For her was very difficult to walk many steps upstairs.
I was missing a real breakfast, it was just a coffee and muffin.
Nice basic hotel, close to the beach and the shops
Nice basic hotel, close to the beach and the shops and restaurant's. Room was basic with t.v. fridge and a safe. The staff was very friendly and was always willing to help with any question you had for them. There was a cold/hot drinks machine down stairs in the kitchen that was always available
Moti the owner is extremely nice and helpful. The webpage says that check-in by 19:30, but we had no problem arriving at 21:15 - after discussing with Moti

Hello, seems like you wrote a review for the wrong hotel, since there is no Moti in our staff.
Anyway our check in time on a regular day is 14:00, and on Saturday is 17:00.
Thanks,
The staff at Sun City was really helpful and kind. The hotel is in a good location near the beach, transportation and many Tel Aviv sites. The hotel was clean. It is a great no-frills, reasonably priced hotel which we enjoyed.

Good Place To Stay
Tel Aviv is extremely over priced but this is a good place to stay to be close (one and a half blocks) from the Mediterranean and very close to great restaurants and the Carmel market. This hotel has balconies which most in the price range don’t offer, the WiFi is good and it’s definitely worth the money as far as Tel Aviv pricing is concerned. The staff was also extremely friendly, helpful and spoke good English.

Stay on a budget
The hotel is good for backpackers i.e. not really ideal for young families or those expecting luxury. It is safe and the location is relatively close to the beach. There are bars next door and you can expect singing until the wee hours.
Great place to stay on a budget, its safe, good location, a little noisy, a bit run down, clean and for the price, a good deal.

Great hotel, great city, great country...and great people. The room was clean, had ac, the location is near lots of bus stations, the beach and bars. The bad was very comfortable. They had free muffins, tea and coffee. The staff was wonderful, especially a guy at the reception who was kind to answer all of our questions, unfortunately I don't know his name. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Tel Aviv.

Too expensive for an old hotel.
It's not a new hotel, in the pictures them seem different. Didn't like it for the value it was too old and the double room was too small the single room was better.
Location is great very close to the beach can complain about that. No breakfast. The entrance doesn't seem like a hotel more like an apartment.
If you find something cheaper go for it.
Reception was good they were helpful, but they couldn't check me in early said no rooms were available.
The bed was old was afraid I'd break it.
