This is a nice Hotel, with pleasant staff always willing to help. It's close to relatives and its reasonably priced

Good location ... but ...

A good location for visiting family/friends/local area. We were disappointed with this hotel - least of all for it’s ‘confused’ identity. Although a budget hotel - it is trying, unsuccessfully, to be something else. We stayed overnight on Christmas Day and Boxing Day - the hotel was extremely quiet with very few guests. Walk to superior room - very smelly and smelt very much of damp / wet dogs. Room itself quite comfortable- although very ‘tired’ with chipped paint, holes in wall etc ... the biggest concern in the room was that the heating didn’t work so it was very cold. Finally the breakfasts were disappointing with very little choice, it felt that ‘yesterdays’ produce was put out for guests and obviously low stock in the kitchens eg no mushrooms. Next time - we will definitely be staying at a different budget hotel - one where we know what we are getting and can plan accordingly.

Disappointing stay

Pros: staff location
Cons: An urgent refurbishment of water and heating system,we bought a heater to keep kids warm. variety to breakfast
Location: we were close to town and family
staff were very good despite challenging time with snow. I feel that more could have been done in regard to clearing of the car park, hiring in gritter, the staff did the best they could putting themselves at risk to clear footpath. during our stay we were unable to have a shower due to lack of water pressure or lack of water, when we did have a dribble of water it was cold or scalding. Fire alarm went off and the system was not rebooted therefore no heating and zero water. Breakfast was good for first couple of days but was the same every day, no variety for people staying longer term.

Thank you for review I am sorry that your stay did not turn out as planned, Uncomfortably we suffered a failure to one of our water heaters but were assured by our heating contractors that there would be no disruption to the supply whilst we waited for a new heater to be delivered and fitted. We have escalated this issue with them due to disruption this caused out guests. We have also reviewed our snow weather policy which I am confident will address the issues that you have raised. I hope that when you are next in the area you stay with us again so that you can experience our usual high-level service.

Good for town and amenities parking is also good

We have stayed at the park inn quite a few times over the years and the staff are always friendly rooms good and food is very nice. We stay while visiting family in the area but quite often use town so very good location and value for money

Particularly good Check-In experience - when I said I was going to Ironbridge the following day the Reception staff gave some useful tips on parking and ATM access there. Otherwise the hotel was fine for an overnight stay, easy to find, plenty of parking but otherwise not particularly exceptional.

Utterly disappointing.

Upon entering the room it appeared a bit cool, radiator was on but there seemed no way of heating the room up. There were long hairs in the bathroom sink and the bathroom mirror light was flickering to a point that I had to turn it off and rely on light from the room when using the bathroom. Upon checking out I advised of both the flickering and the cold room - was told the flickering is common and that someone had complained their room was too hot... and that was that.. no offer of apology or that action would be taken. I expect more from a hotel costing this much per evening and will not be staying here for any reason again.

Overall quite a good value

Pros: Location
Cons: Allow guest to adjust their room temperature to their own tastes
The only thing I did not like is that there was NO in room temperature control.

Pros: Location and value for money.
Cons: difficult to say as we only stayed one night but the staff, the décor, the location fulfilled our expectations.
Location: As explained above it satisfied our expectations and we would recommend the hotel to our friends should they be staying in Telford
we arrived early no problems, allowed to book in. the staff had all the answers and the facilities at the hotel are excellent it is within easy walking distance of the shops etc.

Nice hotel close to M54

Enjoyed the stay. Helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast and delicious dinner. Free car parking. Only downside no air conditioning in the room but desk top fan provided. Nice gym and swimming pool.
