Beautiful hotel, though currently under renovation

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Beautiful, comfortable, excellent staff
This is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful views, and close to the gondola that takes you over the mountain to Telluride. It's romantic and comfortable, and would be perfect for skiing in the winter or festivals in the summer. The only current problem is that it's being renovated so entering the hotel from the parking garage is a little awkward. But obviously that's temporary.

Terrific vacation

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Well appointed condo- friendly staff
Cons: The hotel is currently adding a pool
This was my first time to Telluride and I can't say how happy I was with the voice. The Madeline in Mountain Village was exceptional- the staff was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. We booked the 1 bedroom residence which came with a beautiful kitchen with high end appliances, a beautiful bathroom with large soaking tub and a steam shower. There was also a balcony and a fireplace. The hotel is undergoing an outdoor pool which is maybe the only thing it is currently lacking. The free gondola is steps from the hotel. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful hotel - top of the mountain

Great staff and facilities however, was not pleased that I had to go across the street to Starbucks for coffee every morning. Hotel of this caliber should provide coffee for its guests!

Excellent location and staff!!!

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Everyone was extremely kind and went out of their way to assist me. Great hotel and location. Cons: room was dark and could use brighter lighting, construction noise. I did not ask for a different room but the noise from construction was a bit annoying each day (did not hear on the weekend). However, I have no doubt that if I had told the front desk they would have done their best to accommodate me. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Nice hotel for ski in/ski out, convenient to gondo

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: space, decor, top quality linens.
Cons: add an in-room microwave oven.
Location: convenient short walk to gondolas, no need to have a car. Good ski in/out surrounded by green trails with ski rental shopwith valet skiing.
We stayed at la Madeline for ski seasons and also for the Blue Grass Festival this summer. The hotel is very convenient for ski in/out especially for skiers who do not want to ski blue trails. Good location. Nice hotel spacious room, friendly staff. The room has a small fridge very adequate, but ice making capability, also it would be nice if a microwave oven is available to guests. But overall it is an excellent hotel and we will come back again.

Nice hotel on Mountain Village

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: The service is very good and cordial.
Cons: An outdoor pool is being built this summer. That would make the place very pleasant
Location: I was disappointed about the location because the area is very new and lacks charm
The hotel is very well appointed but has no outdoor pool. It is located in Mountain Village which is a new resort on the side of Telluride. It is a totally different feeling than Telluride. It is very upscale but it is very corporate looking and lack personality. You can take the gondola to go down to Telluride because the area is very uninteresting.

Telluride's Star

Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
With the exception of summer construction to remodel the main Entry, the Madeline was perfect for our Memorial Day stay. The staff, and especially the Front Desk attendant, were remarkably helpful. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in was beautifully decorated and furnished. The Spa was outstanding despite being off-season. The only defect was not the Madeline's issue - the surrounding restaurants in the Mountain Village were a bit disappointing. They were beautiful, but food preparation was lacking. We will definitely stay again. The Madeline is without question the best facility in Telluride.

Great hotel, great service. great location!

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: the rooms and service
Cons: they should give out complimentary water bottles
Location: best location in Telluride. Close to the slopes, the mountain village restaurants, and the complimentary gondola that takes you into town
It was the end of the ski season and the hotel was fairly empty, but we were welcomed warmly and given beautiful rooms. The hotel is very charming and right in the heart of the mountain village area. The rooms were kept clean and we were always greeted with a smile whenever running into the staff throughout the hotel. We tried the Black Iron restaurant for breakfast which was good, but looking forward to coming back and trying out the new specialty restaurant which was closed for renovation.
