Well priced hotel room, terrible service

Our room was larger and better kept than expected, but we arrived late at night after a 20 hour drive and were unable to find a hotel attendant. After 2 rings on the doorbell to the night office and a call with voicemail, the night attendant finally stumbled out, hardly said a word, and sent me off to my room with one key. They offer prepackaged, dry breakfast pastries and air pot coffee, which they do not allow you to take into your room for some reason. There was dog feces and cigarette butts on our patio when we arrived (in our non-smoking room) and yet they threaten a $200 fee for damages, undeclared pets, smoking in a non-smoking room, etc. It was a fairly abrasive experience, but for the price, what can you expect? The service industry is dead.

Jacuzzi is nice after 3pm

Booked a room right before midnight and showed up at the hotel 10 minutes after midnight. The itinerary booking number was not in the hotel system so I had to pay for a second night just so we could stay and didn't get this accomplished till 2 in the morning

Good price but leaves much to be desired.

Pros: Despite my complaints it was well priced, well lit, individual parking was nice, location was good and it felt safe.
Cons: Fix/replace appliances, Don't put lighting for the main room on a timer, Fix the tub, a little more attention to detail from house keeping.
Location: I stayed here because it was affordable and near Vile Lake where I was doing Tough Mudder Obstacle Course Run.
First appearances were good but throughout your stay the not so nice things make themselves apparent... The lights were all on timers which is fine for the bathroom and vanity but terribly annoying for the main room. The only outlet that my charger would reach the bed from was also on this timer so I had to constantly get up and turn the light back on to charge my laptop while working from the bed. Oh yeah, 2 out of the 3 the pillows were quite lumpy. The refrigerator was loud like the pump or fan on it was getting ready to fail. In the morning I discovered the free breakfast was just bananas and Sara Lee packaged pastries. No cereal hot or cold or any juices. Taking a shower I found the tub had a HUGE crack in it that leaks water under the floor and my towels had hair in them. The soaps were VERY Generic shea butter typical of a 1-star. On the bright side the place was well lit, each room has its own parking spot right out front and the staff were polite and apologetic. This place just needs more TLC from the owner.

Great location

This is a budget hotel that is clean and comfortable with parking directly in front of the unit. Our main reason in selecting this hotel is location as we were visiting friends who live in Fallbrook. We have stayed at this hotel on prior occasions and would recommend this hotel to those who want a basic clean, comfortable room.
