Wonderful Hotel and Friendly Staff

Pros: Central location in wine country, beautiful hotel, friendly staff and wonderful amenities on site.
Location: Central location in wine country. Wine tasting, live music, horse riding, Lake Skinner, great restaurants nearby, spa, walking and hiking and relaxing
Wonderful stay at the hotel. The hotel had upgraded amenities both in the room and onsite with spa, restaurant, wine tasting room, pool and gift shop. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. When we arrived Julie checked us in and was wonderful. She made sure our room was correct and told us about local activities to enjoy. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Second Stay

Pros: Very clean. Beds and pillows super comfortable. Pool, workout area. Wine tasting was great. Julie at reception was great!
Cons: This was our second visit and both times the sevice at the bar/lounge was very slow. The bartender was used also as a waiter for the tables. Need a waiter
Location: Didn't do anything off site.
Our first time staying was this past June, so we knew we would enjoy our stay. Great room on ground floor looking out at vineyard. Used the workout facilities, did wine tasting on site, ate at restaurant. All very good.

Fantastic for a getaway

Pros: Location, View, Amenities
My wife and I really enjoyed our long weekend. First, I can't say enough about the staff. I was there for a whole week doing work around the holiday weekend and I ended up booking the wrong start date. The staff was extremely helpful and made my check in as smooth as possible after my error. They continued to go above and beyond all throughout our stay. The rooms were great. We were just in one of the "basic" resort rooms. It was very nice and included a large tub and a balcony overlooking the vineyard. The room was very spacious and was good for both work and relaxing. We were also able to enjoy some of the other amenities as well. We rented a cabana for half of a day by the pool which was a great way to relax. We also did a yoga and wine tasting class that was easy for me as someone without yoga experience. I loved how the instructor explained how she picked the wine to go with the different parts of what we were experiencing during the yoga. Finally, the location couldn't be better with tons of wineries near by and the main town is only about 10 minutes away for shopping or restaurants. We are not big wine drinkers but very much enjoyed visiting the wineries and doing several tastings. We actually ended up joining the South Coast wine club because we just LOVED so many of the wines. We are looking forward to enjoying the bottles in our initial membership package and the ones that will be coming in the future. Thanks so for helping us have such a great time.

Check in staff lack interpersonal skills compare to first visit at resort. However , check out was great saw Julie excellent pleasant and professional.

Stopped by early but they were let us check in. Staff was helpful in giving us directions to where we needed to go

Great Resort for Quick Getaway

My girlfriend and I wanted to go someplace for a quick holiday weekend getaway and I'm glad I remembered this resort as I had dropped off many clients there previously. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The atmosphere in the restaurant and wine tasting room was outstanding! My girlfriend loved the massage she got at the spa and enjoyed the short walk through the vineyard to get from the resort to the restaurant. She says it was a perfect getaway and that's all that matters in my book!

Beautiful winery resort but terrible food

Staff front desk very friendly and accommodating. Pool Spa wonderful. Fantastic views of the Vinyard and mountains. However Restaurant is less to be desired. Breakfast lunch dinner food quality very substandard no Chef quality. Skimpy portions poor plate presentation and pathetically overpriced. Advise eat elsewhere dinning experience far from impressive

Great short get away

Great hotel the rooms are beautiful and well taken care off, first hotel I have been where shower drain works and don't have to stand in water. Great grounds and wine. The only thing I suggest would be for hotel to give discount to guest on tasting and purchasing wine. Would of bought more.

Enjoyable Annivesary Weekend

Pros: Rooms are good..we followed advice of another reviewer to get a top=3rd floor room. Had a great view and was comfortable. Pool and spa was very good.
Cons: Make the customer feel really special..we got a welcome card but they forgot to give a nice bottle with it ! Restaurant menu could be improved. .
Location: In the middle of wine country..plenty of choice of wine tours. Also a hot balloon tour is available.
We had a special anniversary to celebrate and chose this hotel because we could spend a few relaxing days there without needing the car and drink without the need for caution. This worked out great: wine tour and tasting; a spa and pool day; good wines and good meals. Weather was hot and timing around harvest time of the grapes was perfect. We would recommend this hotel to friends : not cheap but value for money. We had some points that could be improved upon which we informed the hotel of..waiting their response. Everybody was informed about our anniversary and the staff was nice but we missed that feeling of being made to feel special. The hotel probably gets so many couples like us that for them it is certainly not special. We were disappointed that the advertised special Chef's menu was no longer available.
