Nice and charming B&B

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: the interior decoration, the beautiful table set with silver tableware
Cons: the bathroom, slightly old-fashioned
Location: we visited Salisbury, Shaftsbury and the wonderful 'Stourhead Gardens a National Trust property
My husband and I spent a night at Toomer Farm and had a nice welcome in a quiet room with much charm and a delicious home-made breakfast.

The best hotel in the area !

Posted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: The location, the horses on the farm, the beautiful gardens.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Toomer Farm has stable blocks close to the property which means you see and hear horses, quite magical ! Close to Sherborne and the coast.
We have stayed in most hotels and B&B 's in the area and this is by far the best. The location is easy to find and close to Sherborne. Our welcome was warm and friendly and the breakfast superb.

Pros: Comfort
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Farm set in lovely rural location
A delightful find, very pleased we stayed at Toomer Farm and will use in the future. Received a very warm welcome and felt at home from then on. Definitely far better than other B&B in the area, would recommend.

Lovely overnight stay on a farm

Posted Aug 1, 2012
Pros: A homely stay/
Cons: It was all good.
We felt very privileged to stay at Toomer Farm because you are not just staying in a hotel or bed and breakfast; you are welcome into the owners home. Our room for four (our daughters loved the bunk beds) was very pretty, homely and cosy with extremely comfortable beds. I personally loved the view out onto the fields with Toomer Farm's horses grazing away and the swallows and house martins flying all around. For dinner, the owner recommended we tried the local Indian restaurant down the road (2 minute drive) which was excellent with an amazing choice of interesting and delicious dishes. Our excellent breakfast at Toomer Farm was served in the dining room where I was surprised to meet other guests having not heard a sound from anyone else until then. We were, all four of us, very happy with our stay and highly recommend it to everyone.

Pleasant stay.

The farm is in a very secluded spot , ideal if you want a quiet stay. Don't stay here if you are into 5star hotels with 5 star fittings and such, but we found it to be a very homely place and were made to feel very welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable and that coupled with the quietness of the situation gave us one of the best nights' sleep in any hotel we have stayed in.
