Bernina Suites - 150 metres to Bernina Express

10/10 Excellent

"The property is located very near the train station - an easy, flat 5 minute walk maximum. The suite had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and had we wanted to prepare food there, we could have. The air conditioning was a nice feature due to the heat at the time we visited. We took the Bernina Express route from Chur, stayed overnight in Tirano, enjoyed looking around the city, then took the Bernina Express route back from Tirano the following day. We would definately stay at this location again when we come back to the area to explore more. The check-in online was straightforward. The only confusing part was having to wait to get information via whatsapp within an hour or so of our arrival with gaps in our cell coverage. I would have preferred to have all of the arrival information to access the space prior to leaving home so I was able to be better prepared. Still, everything worked out perfectly and Alda was wonderful."

"It was the perfect place to rest up after riding the Stelvio Pass via motorbike with my wife. Staff were helpful and the main issue with things was me just being groggy after the ride and at that elevation. Looks like they really cater to the ski crowd, so the place is setup for that in a somewhat dated and worn way, but perfectly lovely and functional. I would recommend it as a spot for the weary Stelvio Pass traveler and am interested to see it in its winter glory sometime."
