Central location, comfortable sized room. Street noise was loud in a street facing room, although it is a trade off given the hotel's location. Felt very safe walking around at night by myself. The mattress was very soft and slightly lumpy.
We had a wonderful time at the Clift for my partner's 40th birthday. There were balloons and champagne waiting for us and the room was beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again and thanks to the concierge for being so helpful ordering balloons and treating us to some bubbly!
It's best to arrive by shuttle or car service. Parking fees were the only downside
Fine centrally located Hotel. Walking distance from Best of S.F. Art Galleries.. Entrtainment, Fine Restaurants.. Close to all major transit systems. Staff was courteous.profeessinal and discreet. A great place to stay for business or pleasure.
Not knowing what to expect, my uber driver dropped me off at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the facade, the front desk area and the interior design. Very hip. The free coffee at the elevator was perfect for just jumping out of bed, getting coffee and jumping back into bed. I found the ...
After not getting to stay here this week (it was full), I love it even more. This is a very nice boutique hotel hanging over the Powell St cable car turnaround. Despite the location, you can get a very quiet room... and the central location is a short walk to Union Square, SOMA, the business district ...
Great staff. Convenient restaurant downstairs. I felt like the hotel was positioned in a great spot to check out various spots all around. Only bad thing is that the view from our room was to a giant wall from an adjacent building, but it is San Francisco so probably normal to be surrounded by buildings ...
Overall a nice hotel. The only real complaints 1. The noise from outside was very loud. The building appears to be older and so are the windows. The only real quiet time that we had was from 2am until about 7am. 2. We had a rental car that we had the hotel valet park which went smooth. What wasn’t ...
Decent hotel, good price, location is ok. Design of the hotel is nice, rooms are ok. This is a decent value hotel for SF.
We have stayed here twice before & love the fact it’s so central to everything that is going on, shops, city life, good walking. Food is good & rooms great.
Staff are very nice. The the hotel itself is quite old, but they make do with what they've got. Considering how much accommodation costs in The Bay Area this is reasonable all things considering.
Awesome location, walkable to all the key sites in San Francisco, great access to BART, Cable Cars, Bus etc. Expect small rooms, this is not a spacious suburban hotel room, but a classic, downtown hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, small, but efficient footprint. Our room had two very comfortable ...
Okay. Has Urban feel to it. Was under construction whrn we stayed in. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the huge TV comparing the room size🙂. Building is really old , but according to the staff they are working on restoring it. Overall, good stay.
The hotel staff was so sweet. Really appreciated Orlando. It had a super cute heated pool. We didn't get a chance to use to but would have loved to. Wish there was more of a breakfast selection but other than that it was a good stay. I'd return.
