My recommendation would be to avoid this hotel. We paid for 5 nights and stayed 1. Where do I start; dated, took 5 minutes for shower to heat up, no heated pool, soviet style architecture, breakfast inedible. Claims to be 4*, would be 2* at most in UK.

Top marks for cleanliness and smily and friendly cleaners. Can't be said for the waiting staff and receptionists who d rather bury their heads behind the screen and only do greet when they are prompted. There is certainly a bit of work/training to do there. The food is boring and bland with only minor changes each day, next time I would not go half board but just stick with breakfast only. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable. Shower is good, beaches and restaurants closeby, parking ok. Our stay with seaview rooms was tarnished because of builing works right outside towards the sea front- the noise commenced at 7/7.30am every morning. All in all a solid 3* which only doesnt get more because of some of the staff which I hope will be addressed soon.

I am staying in hotels 1/3 of my nights and typically don't care about minor flaws, but here they offer a 'four star' accommodation at 260Euro+/n (without breakfast) and what you get is a sparsely furnished single room without even a fridge, coffee maker, toiletries, missing lamps and ages old bathroom installations. As those failed leading to leakage, they made us move to another room, no apologies, no compensation for the inconvenience of having plumbers in your room and having to move all your luggage in the middle of a vacation day. The staff arrogance has stunned us, can't believe they claim a Melia label.

A nice, clean, and cosy hotel in the middle of Puerto De La Cruz. No hills to climb, nearby the sea an shops. Breakfast was included, only disappointment ( and not really a complaint) the toasting machine was not working properly.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. It's a close walk to both the town square, Loro Parque, and tge beach. The communal areas are modern, but the bedrooms are a bit tired, although nice and clean.

As soon as we walked in after arriving from the airport, our first impression of the reception was already good. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. From some of the reviews we read I expected a horrible room when we opened the door. In fact, it was absolutely gorgeous - even bigger than we expected - clean and lots of cupboards. In some hotels we have stayed, our clothes were piled on a bench in the room as space was minimal. Breakfast was free so we were amazed at the spread available. The food, on the whole was very good. The staff very friendly. You get free towels for the beach. We have heard free towels for the pool outside but, the beach was new to us. The location is absolutely fantastic. We walked to the Loro Park, the centre many times and explore the many small streets and area where we were. The only disadvantage is the beach. Very rocky and huge waves but, one can sun themselves, no problem. What we found dangerous are the rocks that come with every wave. Unless you are very far in the sea, the rocks will hit your legs, arms, thighs. But this is the Atlantic ocean and a volcanic island - mother nature.

This hotel is Super clean they have cleaners constantly working and sweeping mopping. Rooms are bit dated but everything works and is clean. at the end of the day it’s only to sleep in most of the time when I am on holiday I am out of my room exploring what the area has to offer. So can not fault this place and is within 3 mins of the beach bonus.

Didn't enjoy our visit. Put into a terrible room on the first night, dirty, tatty and in great need of decoration and upgrading, put into another much better standard of room the following day but still unhappy so Asked to leave the next morning and we moved to a different hotel without them refunding our unused night or offering to move us to another hotel within the Sol Melia group.

Good short stay~
Very close to town centre and general areas of interest. The staff was welcoming, helpful with left luggage and there's a laundry room too. My friend didn't have great service when she asked for a hot drink, but this place is very good budget, plus we only stayed one night.

A very tired hotel.
Our room was clean and basic the bathroom and terrace doors were scuffed and badly needed painted. The tv was so old we couldn't even find a duel control as there wasn't one.

Good location, nice staff, okay breakfast, very clean room.. what else do you need? Not sure if it 4* hotel but I really enjoyed stay there. It's not a first visit of Sol hotel group and I can say they provide good service constantly The only negative experience was with bar staff - I asked for Americano instead they put double shot coffee("canaria cafe"?) without water. The server was kinda rude unlike all staff in the hotel. I mean what the point to sell something they weren't asked?

Reception very unhelpful - girl who checked us in - well we were obviously a nuisance - she was chatting away to a maintenance man when we arrived - he went off - she just looked at us and said passports - no welcome or anything! Then she left them while she continued typing away on her pc - nothing to do with checking us in - finally she took them said we can collect them later and gave us key cards and said room *** - no what floor or where the lifts were no info on the hotel - so when I asked about hiring the safe if they had them in the rooms well you would have thought I'd asked her for her blood! Didn't bother them until our second to last day as need them to confirm our pick up the next day - yet again the male receptionist (when he finally came back to service us after just walking off after we asked him ) he just dialled the number and handed me the phone! I could have done it myself! The hotel is very very tired and needs a refurbishment and maybe a change of staff - shame as location is great the breakfast was good but it was like eating in a noisy school canteen - coffee was nice - it was very clean and lovely big soft towels - so although not all bad massive room for improvement here. most of the other guest were German and very nice and friendly and couldn't believe no fridges in the rooms!

Great location. It's next to the ocean and old town of the town. Very easy to get around the town. Also, if you arrive at Tenerife South Airport, the bus stop at Puerto de la Cruz is 5 min by foot from the hotel.

I felt like home thanks to the effort of the polite staff - the best receptionist (the young fellow); the house keeping lady, who was like our mother (3-rd floor); the manager of the restaurant - great, sunny and good man, the person with great P! You will always be in our hearts!

The entrance is very nice & welcome, also the pool is nice but much more smaller than it looks in the pictures. The staff is very friendly and helpful.  The food is not the best, always it was too dry (fries, tortilla, bacon).  I don't recommend the beef stew. So, I had the standard room, clean enough & tidy but very outdated (see pictures).  To be honest with you there are not 4 stars, maybe 3 stars, but definely not 4. If you want safe deposit box you have to pay 3€/day extra. The location is great, Playa Jardin is the closest beach (4 min walk) and is very nice with black sand. Also Loro Park is at 15 min walk from hotel, oposite direction is the Lago Martianez and the old city, same 15 min walk.

Lovely experience, visited the Botanical gardens which isn't far from the hotel . Also able to get around the island via bus station which only cost 25 euros for multiple trips .

The hotel was dated and in need of some maintenance. The desk staff were average and not fully committed. The number of three point plugs in the room for charging of so many items was inadequate and didn't appear to function well. The food offered was good but on the first evening it was dry and nearly inedible, probably due to the lateness in the day. Failure to provide hot drinks as part of the evening menu is a big failure as most people I know drink a tea or coffee then. I had to relocate upstairs for this and leave my family

Just overnight here meant it was ok for hotel not to be the best. Room was clean and fairly comfortable but space under balcony door and windows not shutting properly didn't appeal. Food was not the best at all - quite poor really both for dinner and breakfast.

Family trip just not long enough. Loads of bars and restaurants near hotel but food in hotel was really good and great value as dinner was also an all you could eat which was great especially with teenagers .

A very good hotel situated mid way between the town center and Loro Parque, on the coast road next to the beach. Plenty of on street parking (Main police station opposite means you can not use you electronic car fob to lock or open your car doors, for security reasons I presume). Booked in on a B&B basis with buffet dinner at only €10 per head. Plenty of food to choose from on the buffet or you could have freshly cooked meats if you wished. Excellent friendly staff throughout the hotel, will definitely stay there on our next visit to Puerto de la Cruz.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, definitely needs some maintenance ie: Shower pressure and very old beds, woke up most mornings in pain untill I put the blankets on the bed to lye on. Other than that I thought there was a good selection of food at breakfast and the pool and surrounding area was beautiful and staff will go out of their way to help of you have a problem.
