For the price, you can't really beat it in Osaka. The location was very close to the Shin-Osaka train station. The interior was nothing special, but it was fine. Our room was a good size for 3 people and we had a private toilet and sink. No soap, though. The showers were a pretty decent walk from our room and there were only 4 from what I remember. We didn't see notice anyone staying there when we were there (from what we could tell), so it was easy getting a shower, but we could see it being a problem when it's busy. Owner was friendly and kept our luggage for us during the day of check-out. However, he rung our doorbell 30 minutes before checkout to remind us that checkout was coming soon, which was pretty annoying.

"Very close to the train station (JR and Subway). "
Hotel lift takes you to B1 which is link to the train stations (Subway and JR). Hotel is next to a convenience store at walking distance (3min) to 2 departmental shopping malls. Room is clean but the staff are 'unfriendly' (they seem to have a problem in greeting foreigners with a smile).

Stayed for just a night at spa world which I felt was just enough. Room was pretty regular but they have all amenities ready for you including facial wash, hair spray etc.
Spa access is inclusive but you probably be soaking around for just about an hour or so, anything more will be too much. Pool level is fun which you can spend couple of hours more up there. Food.. I would rather head out to the streets for a meal.

Conveniently located, the hotel is ideal for single traveler or small group of people. Individual room, yet small, provides enough privacy at this budget price. Showering and toilet facilities are adequate and in great condition. Staff are very friendly and one of the staff was helping me to bring the luggage upstairs to my room at check-in. There is no elevator so it maybe inconvenient for people with big or multiple luggage. If you are a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs as sound proofing isn't ideal between rooms and the hallway. Also, if you are going in the winter months, spend a little more to book a room with air-conditioning (which is also a heater) as it gets really chilly for rooms without. There is no hot water other than the ground floor facilities. You will have to wash your hands or brush your teeth with cold water if you use the facilities on each floor. Wifi was ok but during peak hours in the evening it gets rather slow. Despite the minor inconveniences, Hotel Toyo has met my expectations at the price I am paying.
