Good hotel. Very poor town.

Except for the Nazi transportation camp, there is very little else to see in Terazín. We walked all over town and found exactly two places to eat. The Parkhotel offers rooms with a lovely view of the park across the street. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff were gracious and accommodating. WiFi only worked in part of the hotel. Room was spacious, well maintained and comfortable.

Hotel Closed & dark

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: See comment above
Cons: Hotel management should institute a plan to keep hotel open for travelers.
Location: Interesting historical location of 19th century military fortress and was also converted to a concentration camp by the Nazis in 1939.
On my arrival @14:00pm, the hotel was closed and dark. Very disappointing because it is the only hotel in Terezin and, having ridden my bike since early morning I was cold and tired.
