Good location. Bad everything else

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Before arriving, I called to add another person to our room and they hung up. I called 20 times after and they wouldn't answer. The website says you can check in early if you pay but they wouldn't let us. The hotel is in a great location. Perfect if you are only in budapest for a few nights and will not be at the hotel for long periods of time. Breakfast was good. The room was okay overall but the carpet was dirty and we found ants in the bed.....

easy access to metro and city - quiet location

Posted Jul 25, 2017
Pros: price and location
Cons: see review
Location: museum of terror across road great/harrowing!
value for money! a rather odd apartment block with bizarre plastic leaves decorating whole complex- stapled to wall room adequate - no tea making in room - but kettle in reception Sink in bathroom leaked so floor got wet - reported but not fixed room rather tired and dated beds comfortable - one towel provided did the job You get what you paid for breakfast - basic bread and cereal with scrambled eggs, plastic cheese and ham and sausages plenty - but not classy coffee dire! Staff helpful

I'd look at other options

This is a quaint, old-style European hotel. Rooms are nice and clean, beds need new mattresses badly. Bathroom is large, with shower, sink, toilet. No bath tub. Clean bathroom. Room has a/c unit, which is needed, especially on the upper floors. Seems to work well, but is very loud. Also has a small TV, mirror, and wardrobe. Location is a 5-7 min walk from the Octagon Metro Station, and close to many eateries. The House of Terror Museum is also about a block away. Negatives... All rooms have doors that face an interior open area. Walkways to the rooms are narrow, and if you do not enjoy heights, you should stay on a lower level. Only has one TINY elevator, which is slow and difficult to operate. Makes getting to the top floors a chore.... 12 flights of stairs is a lot after walking around town all day. Staff is friendly and helpful, which is what pulls it up to 3 stars.

Great hotel in the city centre of Budapest

Posted Mar 31, 2017
We had a triple room more than big enough for 3 girls, the view at breakfast at the top of the building was amazing. 24/7 reception is very useful and the staff are really friendly. Sorted out a taxi transfer to the airport for us on check out and accommodated us for an early check in. Great location. However, can only access the rooms via a lift?!
