Didn't feel safe around the area

The staff tried there best to understand our concern, and honestly, I didn't want to embarrass them by making all my displeasure known. So we ended up not even staying, and we went down the street to another hotel. It was too late to cancel so we had to eat the money, but the environment around the hotel didn't feel safe at all. If it was just me, I probably would have braved it, but I would not subject my wife to this. My wife stayed in the car and I looked at the room. Obviously you get what you pay for. I think they try to make the room as nice as they can, but everything is old and the answer to everything is a can paint. If you can stand old, and a saggy bed, and a dangerous environment, then this your place. My advice, spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Very loud. Terrible odor. Floor was very dirty Couldn’t eat breakfast due to smell in lobby of bug spray. Room had foul odor. Glad my wife and kids weren’t with me. Not sure if hotel ever gets inspections

Noise hotel

Too many smokers in that hotel.The place where you get the breakfast was terrible and food the same way And dirty.I think a paid too much for this kind of hotel.

As expected at this price point.

Pros: Quick check in.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Close to MSA ball diamonds in Terre Haute.
At this price point, hotel is what was expected. Breakfast could have been better with larger room, better selection, and just better experience. Wi-Fi was so-so. Good place if you just have to spend the night and not looking for much at a lower price.

Avoid this hotel, go 1 block north to Rodeway Inn

Pros: Closeness to funeral home
Cons: Staff should be retrained or replaced
Location: Close to my home & funeral home
Lost my wife of 20 years, and booked my son & his wife a room at Travelodge to attend the funeral. The loss hit my son as hard as it hit me, so they decided to stay another night. I called to extend his stay and was given a higher rate for the room. I went ahead and booked it, giving them my CC, my name, address, phone, etc. The clerk said he had all he needed. 10 hours later when my son went to check in the night clerk said I had to go to the hotel and show the card and my ID before they could check in. Mind you I had just buried my wife and was home mourning. I drove o the Travelodge, gave them two IDs and my CC. The clerk said we do this for your protection. I pointed out the they did not require this the night before, and that I should have been told when I added the extra day that they needed to see my ID & CC, not wait to midnight to tell me. I said that since they screwed up and did not tell me they needed to see my ID & card when I made the appt that I should get a reduced rate for the inconvenience. The clerk called the manager who said he would not reduce the room, my only option was to cancel if I was disappointed. Really, after having my wife pass and they made the mistake, I should cancel and go find him another room at midnight? I will never use Travelodge again, and will steer any others considering it away.

Horrible

Location: Indiana University
Do not stay at this hotel. It is a like a roach motel. The rooms are dirty. It stinks. I am not sure who would give this hotel a star at all. If there was an option for 0 stars. I would definitely give it 0. The price you pay for trash. The pictures do not represent reality. Please see your travel agent before booking any hotel as they are the experts.

Nice hotel close to Covered Bridge

This hotel is very accommodating. The staff will go above and beyond to help their guests. The only problem with the room was not having a tub in the bathroom-only a shower in my room. Other than that, it was a nice room.

ISU homecoming weekend tripled ++ the regular rate for an older property with a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Front desk staff is all I saw all weekend. Decent beds and continental breakfast.
