Weekend in Tetons/Jackson

Posted Oct 12, 2017
This property is in a prime location and the lobby and grounds are nicely updated/modern. There is construction going on next door, which is obvious in the parking lot, but not noticeable inside the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our only disappointments were that the room (queen Murphy bed with fireplace and balcony) was way overcrowded with furniture, there was no room to put our luggage except on the dining table, screen door jammed, fireplace screen was coming off, shower dripped all night, and the wood furnishings were showing wear. The view was gorgeous, hotel is very nice, but we would not book that room again. The rooftop hot tub was not very hot. Also, we were told by the front desk that the restaurant served freshly made pasta, but our dinner looked/tasted like pasta out of a box, and was way overpriced. Our server was friendly and the dessert was really good, but pasta dishes were not great. We had dinner at the Spur next door one night, and had fabulous food that was less expensive than Osteria. Overall a fun visit, but hotel marketing did not accurately depict what the room/restaurant would be like. Clearly the room we stayed in was designed to be used as a gather space for the two adjoining rooms.

Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear you had a fun visit to Jackson Hole. I understand your concerns about the Urban Studio. The one bedroom suite is a more spacious option by adding a king size bedroom onto the studio. We will address those maintenance issues immediately. Thank you for letting us know.

Nice hotel, but beware end of season.

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: Great location and very good amenities.
This is a very nice hotel, but we were staying there at the very end of the summer season, before the ski season started. The hotel staff were transitioning and, as a consequence, were not as attentive or engaged as they could have been. Small things, like no wood for a fire in the fireplace, were often missing. During a season the hotel probably provides a different experience.

Dear Mike, Thank you for taking the time to provide this helpful feedback. I apologize that we didn't come off as attentive or engaged as we should have. We did receive a new delivery of wood and have fires burning daily. We hope to welcome you back in the future where we can change your perception of our level of service.

Relaxing

Beautiful location nestled at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of nearby dinning options. Heated pool, Hot tub. Sight seeing, hiking, down hill mountain biking. Saw two black bears from the tram.

Comfortable, but a few little issues

Posted Sep 3, 2017
This is a very nice hotel and worth considering for a stay a Jackson Hole. Our arrival was just before 10:00 pm and all the parking spaces were taken. We were not the only ones left searching for a place to park. Our other issue was an expensive item left in the room after we vacated. Not an item that should have been thrown away, but the hotel was never able to locate it. Both issues left us a little disappointed.

Dear Steve, Thank you for the 5 star review. We are happy that you were comfortable during your stay. I understand the issues with parking during the evenings. The staff is more than happy to assist. I apologize we were unable to locate any items left behind. Anytime we find an item we try and contact the guest that most recently vacated. We hope to see you in the near future.

The room was extrememly narrow making it difficult for more than one person to navigate at one time. The bathroom was large, modern and clean.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the room did have the amount of space you were expecting. Not all of our rooms have the same layout and some are larger than others. We are happy to look at other options. If a spacious room is a priority, I would recommend a one bedroom suite for up to 4 people.

Luxury but catty.

Posted Aug 15, 2017 on Hotels
Pro side: - It is truly luxury. - Location: it is pretty near Grand Teton NP, even though the entrance road is rough. Cons: - It is overly expensive. - Which disgusts me most is the way they put bottled water near the coffee machine. They put two 500 ml bottled water near coffee machine. It looks like it is free but not really. They charge you 3.5 USD for each 500 ml bottled water. I do not understand how they can overly price the bottled water. - They hide the "real free" coffee inside the drawer without any clear notice. - The wifi signal is weak. Maybe just my room. - With all above, it is not a surprise they do not offer any free breakfast.

Dear Zheng, Thank you for taking the time to provide this helpful feedback. I'm sorry that you were put off by our decision to have water bottles near the kuerig coffee makers. We choose to have them there purely out of convenience. In the event that you aren't seeing a strong wifi signal, the front desk is there to assist. September and October provide the most competitive rates and are good times to visit Jackson Hole if you want to avoid the crowds. We hope that you consider Hotel Terra if you return to Teton Village.

Excellent Stay. 20 yr anniversary

Posted Aug 9, 2017
Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Location: Hiking in Grand Teton National Park
My wife and I celebrated our 20 yr anniversary at Hotel Terra Jackson Hole. It was perfect. The hotel and staff were amazing. Room was very nice. Not a huge space, but designed well and very comfortable and clean. The front desk manager wrote us a hand written note welcoming us and thanking us for celebrating our anniversary with them...with chocolates....it was a very nice touch. Several great restaurants for breakfast and dinner all very short walks away. Families and kids having so much fun everywhere you went. We spent our afternoons hiking in the Grand Teton National Park which was a short drive...park entrance is only a mile north. Great hotel and we would recommend highly.
