Overall not a great experience. When ee arrived the restuarant was given to a function and we had to eat in a small place. The staffing was inadequate. I had to request for an extra bed 3 times and finaly go to the reception to ask and wait and get it. Not properly managed. Food waa average. Overll not worth the cost.

The property was at par with any hotels in the US. They had a good spread of Indian and continental breakfast options for the breakfast buffet. The hotel was clean, well maintained.

Check-in was super-efficient and in-room dining was good too. Breakfast was filling and nicely prepared. Dinner selection with phulka and yellow lentil was tasty. Check out took a bit of time as people were jumping queues. Memorable stay at Hotel Sangham, Thanjavur.

The room allotted for us was not smelling good. Kind of old smoking room feeling. Front desk showed alternate room which was good but only having twin bed.

Shocking experience.
We spent 2 nights at this hotel and overall it was a very negative experience. On check in our room was dirty as the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Everything about the hotel is extremely dated, in need of repair and the property desperately needs a complete makeover. We were unfortunately involved in an incident whilst staying there whereby a fellow guest launched a completely unprovoked verbal assault upon us, I shall not repeat the names we were called but it was an extremely upsetting experience. I reported this immediately to the management of the hotel who told me that the guest in question was a regular and long staying guest which as far as any civilised person would be concerned is absolutely irrelevant. They stated that they would speak to the assailant and come right back to me. I waited for 12 hours for a response from the general manager during which time all of my calls to him were ignored. Eventually he stated that the guest had admitted the assault but offered no genuine apology or any form of a gesture to put this matter right. I had to argue with him before he very reluctantly agreed to waive the charges for dinner I had taken in the hotel. I travel extensively and spend more than 200 nights each year in hotels. I have never in my life come across such an incompetent and ineffective hotel management team in my life. These people are concerned only with money and know absolutely nothing about hospitality or good customer service. Avoid this hotel.

Wonderful dining and staff! The manager of the restaurant was extremely helpful and attentive to my dietary needs. Cannot day enough about his hospitality. All of the staff at Sangam are dedicated to providing the best service possible.

A good 3 star hotel, would easily give 4 star. Well maintained front, large open lobby, excellent restaurant which serves top class food especially South Indian food. Breakfast not to be missed. Decent size room with adequate facilities. Room service is prompt. Lots of noise from the local traffic.

May be best hotel in town
It was ok. But far from main market are. Pictures are more lush but actually it is ok. Better than all other hotels in city/town. Overall ok experience.

The hotel has excellent service. Room was quite spacious. The layout of the room was excellent too. Overall the facilities and conditions were very good to excellent. The breakfast buffet had good spread. Dormitory facility for the Chauffeur is a great plus point.

Good stay at Sangam
Stayed there for about a day. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately the room faced the generator room and hence had a buzzing noise in spite of insulation. Very good food. The price is on a higher side though. The place under the bed was not cleaned properly and had dust.

Very nice hotel. Great staff and rooms
Stayed here for over 2 weeks. The staff was more than accommodating to all of our needs. In the small town of Thanjavur, the Sangam hotel is something you should most definitely NOT overlook.

A great value in Thanjavur
Pleasant and comfortable hotel with landscaped gardens in front and lawn in back leading to the pool. The food served in the hotel restaurant was especially good at dinner although the buffet breakfast was somewhat limited. The free Wifi, air conditioning and tv all worked well. The interior design of the hotel and its facilities are plain with a no-frills look, but everything was clean and in good repair. Service at the hotel was very accommodating, but don't expect anyone to take your drink/snack order at the pool! Also, there are only two lounge chairs at the pool so if there's a crowd, you'll be out of luck.

Sangam Hotel SUPER SERVICE
All the Sangam Hotel in India are Super , the staff does a excellent JOB in making sure customer satisfaction is achieved . I had stayed at both Trichy and Thanjavur and can only say they are SUPER IN SERVICE. It did my HEART good to see that the Sangam Organization offers employment to all no matter what Handicap ability they have .. Much RECPECT to Sangam you will always be my Home away from Home

Hotel in Thanjavur
The rooms are fine but unfortunately the lobby bathroom, at least for women, was not very clean and smelled terribly. This gave me an unpleasant first impression and I dreaded having to go to the lobby bathroom. The staff was very nice except for 1 front desk manager.

Grande chambre propre mais vieillotte. Piscine : chemin accès peu avenant, les transats au nombre de 3 et sans parasols, difficulté pour avoir des essuies, eau trouble, abords pas entretenus. La piscine donne sur l arrière de la cuisine avec vue sur de nombreux encombrants. Nourriture : déjeuner type continental moyen et peu de choix. Repas du soir : poulet pas cuit et ensuite trop cuit (qui nous a quand même été facturé). Hôtel : prix excessif pour ce qu il offre
