Thank you to the lovely team at The Clan, they were very obliging to move us to a downstairs room to accommodate my grandson with a disability. Beds were very comfy and facilities were very good. We were all set up for our late check in even down to the lights turned on for us. The cafe in the premises does an excellent breakfast. Could not be happier.

A perfect location with great access to the beach. The only criticism I have is being woken up every morning by housekeeping. I like a sleep in on holidays and there was no Do Not Disturb sign to be found. And please do not open my door!

Location is fantastic and house had plenty of space though needs a refurb and a few more bowls & glasses. And a deep clean. But otherwise is a great set up for a family. Plenty of clean towels and beds were comfortable.

it was immaculately clean, comfortable beds and pillows. alowed families to stay together in a group however in separate rooms. delish breakfast and fantastic service by all staff.

We stayed in the “Cottage” which is actually a nice contemporary 3 bedroom house. Walking distance to beach, lake and shops. Being a bring your pet house the sofas have a dog odour.

Firstly, even checking in Time is 1-6, suddenly changed to 4pm, that day, suddenly. We were trekking, and didn’t have any reception, so when we noticed the message from the hotel, was already past 4pm. We were so upset even we could check in as a result. And we were expecting having breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, but was closed. And the slide door lock facing back yard was broken, even we booked for two night , there no spare toilet paper, and only 50 cm was left😓 TV was terrible condition to watch. We were very looking forward to staying this hotel, because of the good location. Can’t recommend to my friends.

This property is built right on the lake and each of the rooms offers a small balcony. The staff were great. The hotel is located a short walk from town either via the beach or road, and out of the Hubbub that is often found at summer. Highly recommended for those that want a no fuss stay.

Well located for beach and lagoon, comfortable rooms, cafe on site with great breakfast and lunch options with friendly staff. To limit noise management and incursion of privacy, other patrons could be asked to set up their extra family outdoor room/tents further back from other patrons room boundaries.

The carpet smelt and was wet beside the bed. The staff were pleasant and immediately relocated us to a different room. The second room was old and worn but clean. The carpet was stained and ill fitted. The bathroom smelt of degrading, old plastic maybe from the clean but ancient looking toilet cistern and seat. Bedding was clean and bed comfortable. Excellent position walking distance to beach, restaurants, shops.

Friendly place to stay
The staff were very good and extremely helpful. They gave us directions on where to eat. There was a slight problem with the first room and we were immediately upgraded to a different room. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. We didn't need lunch either days. Would definitely stay again.

The bathrooms were very dated, this included the hair dryer which stopped working after 30secs. The service desk did provide me with a newer dryer. There was also bait left in the fridge from a previous guest.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay at The Clan. Perfect Location right on the water with views of the beach & just a short walk to Terrigal town center. Highly recommend breakfast at the Motel Cafe, it was amazing.

I liked the fact that there were plenty of power points for recharging devices. Thank you! I found the set of stairs (behind office) a challenge the ‘riser’ was steep and stairs a bit slippery and with luggage - I was nervous! I should have asked for a ground floor room.

The room service for cleaning was terrible . Despite requesting , they didn’t do till late afternoon & didn’t leave toiletries, tea, sugar , milk etc for 4 persons . We had to repeatedly request for these items

The room had a funny smell, sort of like an aged care home. Room service also helped themselves into entering the room which shocked me, even though I said I didn’t need anything. Staff at reception were very nice though.

It was definitely close to the beach. The bed was comfortable and sheets very high quality. We thought it was a bit noisy at first as there was a party on the beach below. However, closing the window shut the noise out so we could sleep well.
