Great place to stay.Posted Nov 9, 2015
My husband and I spent two days here, before going to Sandals for our daughters wedding. The locations was great, definitely walk down to the fish fry and get conch salad, it was amazing, and the gentleman that makes it was so nice and friendly. Everyone we encountered down there was very welcoming and nice. The free wifi wasn't great, but it was kind of nice unplugging a bit. Definitely take the water taxi across to the sip and chat, the bartender there was so nice and the conch burger was great!! We got to feed stingrays, which was so great!!! The beach is beautiful!! After staying at both, we will never stay at another Sandas resort, not worth the money, and you don't get to experience the culture and you're only a number.

Nice people, great location but no peace and quietPosted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: The people were friendly and it is 5 min walk to a fabulous beach. Great location.
Cons: Something must be done about the "nightclub" next door as you cannot sleep on Friday nights! It was impossible to sleep until 2:30 am! Be warned!
Location: There is not much around, maybe 3 places to eat and the Taxis are a rip off. They will charge you 20 bucks for a 10 minute ride.
The reason for our bad review is not the hotel itself, the people, and certainly not the location. But rather, on Friday nights there is another hotel next door that blasts super loud club music at an outdoor bar until way past 1 am! For guests at Augusta Bay, you might as well have the disco right there in your room! We were dead tired after a long day but still could not sleep! You cannot call the hotel manager because a) there is no phone in the room, and b) he went home long ago to sleep in his bed. Yep, the hotel closes at night. So if you want peace and quiet don't book this place on Tuesday or Friday nights. Be warned! Also the internet sucks and is super slow.

Tolle InselPosted Jul 1, 2015

Check this place outPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Close to most things we wanted to do. Easy to get around either by rental car or taxi. Other hotels with bars are near by.
Cons: Ya can't get an alcoholic drink until 5pm. What? I'm on vacation. I'd like to be able to get a drink earlier in the day.
Clean room. Helpful staff. Comfy bed. Great views. The rooms in person, compared to what they look like on the website, leave a little to be desired, but I guess that's how most places are. They post the best pictures right at the time of construction or remodel. Expectations are high and when ya get there, it's not the same. But all in all, this place fit the bill and met all our needs. We would definitely go back.

Charming hotel in an amazing location. Room was clean, cool, and bed was super comfortable. Hotel service was good and staff were friendly. Food was pretty basic but tasty. You won't regret staying here!

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful hotelPosted May 29, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed in Augusta bay for 2 nights. 2 girls in there 20's was perfect as we had a double bed and a single. We went kayaking in the morning (free to use!!!) right in front of the hotel. Then the hotel organised a boat for us to head over to stocking island for the rest of the day. Dinner was had at the fish fry a short 3 to 5 minute walk down the road. The most beautiful beach only a 5 minute walk down the road too. The hotel was clean, beds were comfy and the breakfast was great! definitely would recommend staying here and we didn't feel that we needed a car!

DisappointedPosted May 17, 2015
This is my second stay and loved the hotel till this visit! There are many small items which need renovation to make facilities good but it appears they are going cheap and don't want to spend any money . They offer free continental breakfast which last visit was great. Now they are going on the cheap . Less fruit , bread plain , inconsistent presentation of food . They have have ham and turkey cold cuts! I couldn't eat turkey because it had a slimy feel .i was actually afraid to eat it. Cheese was a little slimy. The milk for cereal was warm. The menu is rigid for dinner and we ate every meal somewhere else when we would have liked to eat there! They have just lost attention to detail' . Despite my past love for the place I doubt if I ever return .

Had a fantastic weekend in the Exumas! Augusta Bay was a great place to stay. Very central and well kept. Family oriented. Would definitely stay there again and recommend friends to stay there as well
