Beautiful placePosted Sep 1, 2015
Awesome place for privacy with things to do around you. They provide snorkel gear and kayaks too. You're next to two restaurants with an outdoor bar. You're also across the street from a car rental place.

Best hotel for location and amenities!Posted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
We truly enjoyed our stay at Hideaways for so many reasons. Great location...you can walk to at least 3 excellent additional restaurants including the local Fish Fry. Hideaways restaurant/bar Splash has a festive atmosphere and also has fabulous food. You can kayak to a small island nearby to snorkel or just enjoy the view. Also, a MUST SEE is the amazing Jolly Hall Beach which is just a short walk from the hotel. The free hotel shuttle to/from Georgetown is a HUGE plus. The hotel staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and will accommodate any arrangements you may need. Our beachside cottage was large yet quaint in style, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a fabulous time, and already miss our new friends at Hideaways. BOOK THIS HOTEL! You will love your stay. We have traveled to many beaches, but the Exuma beaches and turquoise waters are far superior. Make sure to take a boat excursion so you can truly experience all Exuma has to offer. Helpful travel hint if you aren't renting a car - email the hotel prior to book a taxi for your airport arrival to avoid the masses. Ask the taxi to stop at CNK on your way to the hotel for supplies; they will wait for you. Taxis are very friendly and accommodating in Exuma.

Relaxing place; quiet, near a great beach!Posted May 25, 2015 on Hotels
Called hotel day before our trip. They said it was for GARDEN view. We paid for OCEAN view. Called hotels.com. Agent called hotel. Hotel still said it was GARDEN view. Hotels.com called second time. Then got an OCEAN view room. BUT the room was in front of 2nd pool closed for repair full of algae water. Had king size bed but they do not have king bed sheets; just a large flat that does not tuck under mattress. Hotel about 200 yard walk from a beautiful beach; staff were nice

Charming and funPosted May 18, 2015 on Hotels
Exuma is a quiet area and a bit rustic in its charms. Our biggest priority was to see the swimming pigs, and we had a fantastic time doing that (as well as touring the whole chain of cays off of Exuma by boat as part of our day-long excursion). The hotel staff was incredibly helpful in assisting us with arranging that tour, especially once our original tour got cancelled because of high winds. There were three great perks that made our stay really comfortable: 1- the rooms are HUGE! Larger than our apartment back home. Very clean, great water pressure in the shower, good a/c units, a little kitchenette--all really nice touches. 2 - they have all this fantastic water gear to use for FREE. Stand up paddles boards, snorkel gear, basketballs to use in the pool--it was so nice to be able to play with all of that and not worry about expensive rental fees. 3 - the bar and grill next door to the restaurant is one of the best on the island. It's cheap, it's chill, the food is great, the bar is really charming (swing seats!), and we had a lot of fun playing pool. Exuma doesn't have the swank resorts that other parts of the Bahamas are known for, but it's a wonderful little spot for a more adventurous vacation destination.

Wonderful GetawayPosted Mar 30, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay at this hotel was wonderful! The whole reason we traveled to Exuma was to do a specific excursion. The night before our trip the company canceled our reservation. The hotel staff was helpful and super friendly. They worked the whole rest of the day to make sure that we were booked with another company. Coastline Tours was fantastic! Our family had the most wonderful stay and we will definitely be returning.

Had a great stay, staff and owners were great. The view was the greatest, the prettiest beach in Bahamas was just a couple hundred yards from us. Will be back!

Nice hotel with a nice albeit small beach.Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The villas were equipped with a kitchenette. Splash bar was somewhat affordable.
Cons: Mosquitos and Flies!
Location: We stayed for 4 days, out of which we spent 2 in the hotel itself - lying in the beach, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding and playing pool.
The beach was nice on Hatchet Bay. The complementary kayaks and paddle boards were great to ride on the clear green water of the shallow beach. I think went as far as I could on the paddle board and it was still shallow (probably 8' or so). The hotel provides a shuttle to Georgetown every 2 hours - we used it a few times and it was a great way to go to Stocking Island, where we saw a sting ray! Food was meh. And very expensive everywhere in the Exumas.

Very nice but too expensive for a 2 nite stay.Posted Mar 6, 2015
We came on a Sun and left Tues on our way to Long Island. Loved Georgetown. Taxes and resort fees too high.
