Average hotel with some downsides

From the begining, the elevator doesn´t work, the whirpool in the pool are neither. Not all, but one member from the staff was very rude to me.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are so sorry to hear that we fell short of meeting your expectations. Unfortunately, the main cable in the elevator broke shortly after Hurricane Harvey. It takes approximately 3 weeks for the replacement part to be built. As far as the staff service, I will certainly share your comments with my team to ensure that this was an isolated incident. This is not common for any of my staff and will be immediately corrected. Hurricane stay

The dedicated staff that kept this hotel open for us to shelter in during the hurricane were wonderful. Cannot thank them enough.

The hotel was very nice however the a/c in our room was not working. The person at the front desk, Chase, appeared to be the only staff member in the hotel to assist guests. He did an amazing job he even check the a/c himself( I think he was filling in for maintance as well). He worked with us and was able to move us to a different hotel since they did not have a room to place Myself and my daughters together.

Great for a Buffett concert!

A great hotel for a little get away or like us, a Jimmy Buffett concert. Great location, very good amenities and nearby restaurants.

Hot tub doesn't work, bathroom in lobby don't work

Decided to stay at this hotel about 30 minutes away from some training grounds, was one of the closest hotels with s hot tub near there. Once I finished a day of training, I get to the hotel only to find that the hot tub wasn't working. I went and told the front desk, and they offered their apology, said they were aware of the issue, and that they would need to call a pool guy in to fix it, which they would not do. Disappointing, but not a disaster. So the next day, I leave for the day and my husband stays in to sleep a bit. We left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, until about 10am when he left to go shopping, when he took it off the door thinking someone would come by at some point and clean the room. He got back around 5, and sure enough, the room wasn't cleaned. We had to ask for cleaning ourselves. The next day, the room was cleaned, but they didn't leave us any shampoo. When we went downstairs to ask for some, the front desk checked in a small drawer behind him, told us he was out, and had us go next door to their sister hotel to get our own. When we got back from that, I needed to use the restroom and sure enough it was out of order as well. None of these things by themselves are a deal breaker, but all of them together made for a bad experience and made me feel a little ripped off for the price I paid for the hotel. We'll be looking elsewhere next time we visit the woodlands.

I enjoyed my stay, but I felt for the price the breakfast should have been included.
