Very nice sweet

Posted Oct 2, 2017
We did ask for double beds, however after a slight mix up ( owner gave us keys to the sweet) we chose to stay in the sweet. It is very homey and would stay there again.

Disgusting room

Posted Sep 25, 2017
I had a very bad experience there I booked for 4 nights. The first room had a awful smell I asked for another room The next room was filthy. Food on the floor under the table carpet was so stained I was afraid to take my shoes off. hair and stains on the bathroom floor hair on the toilet also hair in the bathroom sink. the telephone on the microwave was thick with dust. I wanted out I wanted to go to another hotel I had to argue with the hotel with Expedia as a mediator for 45 minutes for my money back. They wanted to charge me 2 nights but I refused. In the end I stayed 1 night hated it got my refund for the other 3 nights and will not ever stay there again. If the room doesn't meet basic standards I should not have to argue with anyone to be let out of the booking . I do have pictures of these conditions.

Location: Hot spring, massage, hiking.
Location is very good. You must have a carto get to the hot spring.

Noisy

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: It was a one night shelter.
Cons: New attitude by management.
Location: Location was ideal.
We had reservations for a room but when we arrived, it had been given to another party. A last resort put us in a handicap room. The problem was that the handicap apparatus on the toilet couldn't be removed to for use by a non-handicap person. Also, there was a fan located outside our bedroom window that couldn't be turned off by the desk clerk. All night we listened to that fan. Got very little sleep.

The requested room had not been rented to another party, but taken out of service because the adjacent room had noisy children that kept running around outside, and we had to move customers to another room the night before due to the children. The last room available was fully ADA compliant. The HVAC unit sits below the window, and the customer kept opening the window, and turning on the A/C unit. We try to provide a good facility for our customers.

Thank you for staying with us. The kitchen facilities are requested by many of the fisherman who stay here while fishing the Big Horn River.

Walking in to the room felt so much like home. We loves every moment we were there. We wished that it didn't have to end.

There was an attempt to make the room updated. It's an older motel with lots of electrical cords running different places. Windows thin and don't stop any sound from outside. Beds at least were clean and comfortable.

All the rooms had new vinyl trim thermopane windows replaced 8 years ago. We replace carpeting, beds, linens, etc. on a regular basis. This is a seasonal market, where motels are only over 50% occupancy 4 months out of the year, so the motel owners in this town do their best to keep facilities up without going bankrupt. The average age of a motel here is 50 years old. Thank you for visiting Thermopolis, and staying at our motel.

The motel setting was small and cozy. The owners were friendly and did answer questions I had over and above was is expected. My car was a little low on antifreeze solution and instead of sending me off to a car place, they offered me some of their own. I will stay there if I am in the area again!
