Nice hotel enroute to Florida

Posted Feb 17, 2017
Nice hotel en route to Florida. Close to the Interstate. Some decent / not-too-bad restaurants close by.

Nice hotel off the highway

Posted Jan 5, 2017
The hotel is set back from the road, with a very large parking lot. I'd asked for a room facing away from the highway, but we did end up facing it, but didn't hear it. However, I'd read a review that the toilets are very pressured and loud, so we'd hear when the room above us flushed. that was true, but it didn't cause any concern. The bed was comfortable with a pillow top mattress and good quality bedding and pillows. I usually prefer a firm mattress, but slept well even with the softer top. The hotel offers a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs (which were a bit watery) and sausages and sausage patties, a fairly good selection of breads and bagels with plenty of spreads, except there was no real butter, just butter flavoured spread, so I opted for cream cheese. Not a big deal. The coffee ran out before I could get some, but the manager brought a refill urn fairly quickly. Valdosta is an interesting little university town with surprisingly good dining on N Patterson, the main street. I'd recommend the hotel as a good stop off the I-75.

Need to be better prepared for breakfast. Could not keep up with food or coffee.

In a 3000 mile car trip, this motel was the best of six in which we stayed.

Decent hotel, okay location

Posted Nov 28, 2016
For what it is and where it is this hotel is a pretty solid choice. My only gripe is that the location is a bit odd (behind a gas station with a very narrow entrance). Also the housekeeping could have been more prompt. But for Valdosta it's a nice hotel option.

Hello Christopher, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I apologize for our confusing entrance! The larger parking lot in front our parking lot, makes our hotel look pushed back, and can be easily missed. I have spoken with my housekeeping staff to make sure they are being more prompted and proactive with our guests. Thank you again for your feed back! Thank you for choosing The Fairfield Inn & Suites! Carolina Evans General Manager (229)242-1225

Nice place to stay when on the highway.

Nice hotel, good staff...just not the greatest location next to the highway.
