Nice hotel off the highway

The hotel is set back from the road, with a very large parking lot. I'd asked for a room facing away from the highway, but we did end up facing it, but didn't hear it. However, I'd read a review that the toilets are very pressured and loud, so we'd hear when the room above us flushed. that was true, but it didn't cause any concern.
The bed was comfortable with a pillow top mattress and good quality bedding and pillows. I usually prefer a firm mattress, but slept well even with the softer top.
The hotel offers a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs (which were a bit watery) and sausages and sausage patties, a fairly good selection of breads and bagels with plenty of spreads, except there was no real butter, just butter flavoured spread, so I opted for cream cheese. Not a big deal. The coffee ran out before I could get some, but the manager brought a refill urn fairly quickly.
Valdosta is an interesting little university town with surprisingly good dining on N Patterson, the main street.
I'd recommend the hotel as a good stop off the I-75.
