Great for 1or2 people only

Posted May 9, 2016
Stayed here recently,.Good points: QS bed is comfortable, room is clean but small,Tea & Coffee & Jug & small fridge provided in room Dinner & Breakfast & a Bar is in foyer..Bad points: Fold out bed is a joke ,it's not made up & is narrow. My 13 year old barely fitted on it.Mattress is thin, one small sheet covering it,no top sheet ,one blanket & pillow provided.Might be OK for a small child ,not older one or adult..Maybe the should put a proper single bed over QS bed.for space saving..

Convenient For Those Travelling North From Sydney

Posted Apr 18, 2016
Pros: It was convenient to our destination. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location: Dan Murphy's is a five minute stroll. A traffic light controls the intersection at the hotel for easy access.
My wife and I were attending a 21st Birthday Party near Hornsby and then going north towards Gosford. We found the Ibis Thornleigh very convenient. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and all that we needed for an overnight stay.

Well located for my purposes.

Posted Apr 14, 2016
Pros: Location & price.
Cons: Nothing. Standard Ibis hotel.
Location: On major highway. Little to do in the way of sight seeing.
Only a night stay & then onto my appointment 4 kilometres away.

Clean No Frills

Posted Mar 22, 2016 on Wotif
A clean no frills hotel that suited our needs for a short stay. I found the pillows uncomfortable but my wife was fine.

Lovely hotel in outer suburbs

Posted Mar 20, 2016
Pros: Managed to be a quiet oasis beside a very busy main road. The staff were great.
Location: Supermarket close enough to walk to and from. Some take-away food available nearby also. Not too far to walk to train station.
Distance from City center and most major attractions only negative of this place. The staff were very helpful and really great. Room was on the smaller size, but the compact bathroom facilities were enough. Small step up into or down from bathroom "pod" so need to be aware of this if have any mobility challenges. Bed comfortable. Cleaning staff also do a great job each day.

Pros: Its location and facilities
Cons: Possibly a chair to use at the desk
Location: It is close to supermarket and restaurants and public transport both rail and bus very good - no need to shop in the city for everyday need
The staff were pleasant to deal with and made us feel welcome, the breakfast and facilities are good

Nice and easy stop over on the way through

Posted Mar 7, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: It was surprisingly quiet despite that massive road (and we were in a room at the back, which would have helped). The bar looked great too.
Cons: There is very little shelf space in the bathroom or shower. It's a clever, compact pod, but maybe just a bit TOO compact.
Nice clean room, very helpful staff (we tested out the 15min challenge with a request for a couple of extra pillows - passed with flying colours!). Easy walk to a lot of Chinese restaurants (and managed to get a table at 9.20pm on a Monday). Easily booked online via wotif while en route. The only thing I would suggest changing is how the address is given. 200-212 Pennant Hills Rd on the iPhone took us to the above-mentioned Chinese restaurants rather than the hotel. After 7.5 hours driving, trying to find the hotel in the dark on that treacherous fast road full of fast trucks was hair-raising, to say the least. Perhaps it should be the same as the Bunnings address - Cnr Pennant Hills Rd and Phyllis Avenue.
