Convenient location

Pros: Location, customer service, and meals.
Cons: Better cleaning of common areas
Location: Location was very convenient.
Convenient location right beside major crossroads and airport. The staff were excellent in their customer service role. The food was very good at Timbers restaurant. The only negative was that the hotel could use a little bit of spit and polish in the common area's.

Practical

Pros: Practical and convenient.
Cons: Swimming is like being in a fish bowl.
First placed in a very poor 'mystery' room, we were given another which was more appropriate. Hotels should not stick 'mystery' guests in sub-standard rooms. This is a very bad marketing ploy.

Rooms in desperate need of renovations.

Pros: If it was updated it woul dbe great, however not in the state it is in now
Carpet was stained, dirty and damaged. Pillows were terrible and not enough of them and the hotel said they had no more.

Sucks sucks sucks and it sucked some more. Even more and then some more. After it was more sucky. Then it became terrible. And that's the best part of it the terrible part.

Looks better in the pictures!

Pros: Nice big parking lot. Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: Needs renovating, airing out. Real pictures would be helpful.
There must have been some photoshopping of the rooms. They were outdated, smelly, with lousy pillows. The restaurant was nothing to speak of for the high prices. Only one beer on tap! For the price of this hotel we expected more.

Timbers Restaurant does have 1 beer on tap but 5 additional beers are on tap in our Runway 25 Steaklounge and apologize that those were no presented to you at the time or ordering. Only book a renovated room!

Only the 2nd floor of the hotel has been renovated. Doesn't state this on Expedia when you book. No price difference for renovated vs. Outdated. They were able to change us to a renovated room which are really very nice. Hotel itself is nice with character. Restaurants have been updated but staff need some hospitality training to suit the upgrade of their restaurants. Salt water pool likely next to be renoed too.

Convenient location to highway

This was a stay on a return trip to Winnipeg. A bit better than the experience on our way there when noisy guests awoke us and carried on for several hours.

Don't stay here

Put in old room even though we heard another patron complaining to desk persons and requested to be in a remodelled room. Then they overcharged us for an upgrade. Hair on bed. Go to newer hotels in Thunder Bay

Very good customer service

Cons: The room that we were originally booked into was dated and not as nice as the one that we ended up with.
When it was discovered that there was a problem with the sofa bed in the room we were immediately looked after. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable.
