Lovely Hotel and Great Staff

Pros: Location and staff
Whenever I'm in the area, I always choose this hotel as I know I'll get the consistent standard and level of service that I've come to expect of well run hotel.

I stay at this hotel often as I know what to expect and the hotel never fails to deliver. The staff are especially accommodating and friendly.

Perfect for overnight stay.

Pros: It's perfect for an event where guests need accomodation so would also be a good venue for weddings and other special events.
Cons: The staff were efficient during the dinner but they needed a third bar staff throughout the evening; there were 120 people and only two bar staff.
Location: The large retail shopping centre, Lakeside, is a few minutes away by car or the 372 bus from outside the hotel runs every 20 mins. for 3 mins journey.
We stayed overnight as we'd had an annual dinner and dance in one of their function rooms. The accomodation rooms have recently been refurbished to a very good standard and the price is inline with what you get.

Up all night listening to drunks fighting

We booked a family room as we had our 4 year old with us, so did not appreciate to be woken up by grown men fighting outside out door in the middle of the night and banging on our door. We also found bugs in the single bed which meant my child had to share with us. The room was so dusty too. It was freezing at night and then the heating was put on full blast in the morning. Which seems pointless as the cleaners open all the windows. Reception were not welcoming just gave us a bit of paper to sign and told us where the room was.

I am sorry to hear you were unhappy. We take all comments seriously and the reason for my delay in responding is that your room had to be thoroughly checked after such claims. House keeping check rooms daily and the room was re-checked yesterday by the detector to which the result stays negative. I'm afraid whilst we do not welcome it, we cannot be held responsible for 'loud' guests - when bought to our attention we would take the appropriate action.

Pleasant Stay, Great Value For Money

Lovely Hotel, Good location for M25. Friendly welcoming staff. Spacious clean comfortable room with usual facilities including coffee nesspresso machine. Extra pillows provided a comfortable nights sleep. Look forward to staying here again.

Not a very pleasant stay.

Nobody at the front desk on our arrival at 6.30pm we had to knock on the staff only door to get attention. No apology given and no information regarding wifi, breakfast or anything else. Later when we queried why we couldn't get wifi we were told that it went down a few days ago. Once again no apology. Overall NOT a very pleasant experience.

I apologise for you not being greeted in the correct manor and will speak directly to the front desk and ensure they all have had their training updated. The WiFi has had no recorded issues (in fact I worked with it all day Thursday & Friday) so I am uncertain why you were told it was down.

Was supposed to be a nice weekend Away

Not a good experience unfortunately. Please note there are NO lifts in this hotel. Lots and lots of stairs. Our room was in the eves of the building with the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was the most basic room I've ever seen. We complained and was moved to the Executive room one floor down. Still not great but slightly better than the hostel room upstairs (that's what it felt like). Staff couldn't of cared less about our stay, no mention of the two weddings taking place and no mention of the fact the music would be so loud you couldn't sleep so didn't really matter about being upgraded. Wish I had now gone to the Premier Inn up the road. When we checked out on the sunday there was no "hope you enjoyed your stay" "thank you for staying" or even a "goodbye" their customer service was disgraceful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A nice hotel, reception staff were efficient and friendly, rooms were spacious, clean, and pleasant. Parking good. We were happy with our stay.
