Extremely old!!! Everything about this place is outdated! Mediocre food and amenities. Charge for gym??? No good!

old and tires

Room was small and uncomfortable. Couldn't work at the desk-chair was too low. Gym was a joke. Half the equipment was out of order, rug stained and smelly, no towels, water but no cups. If a good workout is important to you, find another hotel.

The staff doesn't helpful to answer my questions and rejected to call a taxi for me because of the distance is too close. Room is okay.

OK hotel, but not my favourite in town

Pros: Location, decent prices, even during Canton Fair
Cons: Food, staff helpfulness
Location: Tianhe North Road is very well located, with plenty of restaurants and shopping in the vicinity
Hotel is OK, but looks a little like a past glory. Rooms are decent (got an upgrade though, so not sure about the average room. Hotel staff is not fluent in English, which was a bit of an issue for me, mainly when I asked the concierge for some directions to a venue I needed to visit. I ordered room service on my arrival evening: a burger, which was not good and the fries were cold. The tea room has great teas, but at prohibitive prices. Breakfast is well stocked, but you need to go for Chinese food to enjoy it: tried bread, butter and jam. Butter had been melted and cooled down quite a few times... jam was average at best. All in all, a good business place, but not a hotel to enjoy.

Good location

No one understands English

If you are from China origin, then it is a very good place to stay otherwise spend some extra money and choose a five star hotel because except few hotel staff no one under stand English. Not even house keeping, rooms service, concerige. It is a difficult task to communicate with them for small things also. I will not recommend for people from outside China. But for Chinese it's a good property to stay

Nice Chinese hotel, Bad location

Location: Large grocery store directly across the street. Mann Coffee on one side and Starbucks on the other.
The hotel is not that bad, especially for one in China, but the location is what knocks it down on my list. I won't stay here again because it's too far from the metro. When I booked it online, I looked at the map and thought it was closer to Guangzhou East Railway Station, IKEA, and the metro...but it was not. The concierge was very helpful with maps, calling taxis, etc. The housekeeping staff brought more towels, etc., with no issues. Some linens and furniture and structures were worn and old, but that is to be expected in a Chinese hotel. I would stay again IF it was closer to the metro.
