Great for canton fair. 5 mins from metro.

A Gem of a Hotel

The hotel is easy to get to. If you have little luggage, you can walk to the hotel from Guangzhou East Railway Station/Metro. Just head towards exit 'J'. On ground level, you can look towards your right, and you will see the "R" that stands for Ramada. Head towards overhead bridge that takes you across the expressway. It takes only 10 minutes to arrive. If you have lots of luggage and need to take a cab, you need to tell the cab driver the Chinese name of the hotel, which is 'jia hong hua mei da'. Best to ring the hotel and get the name right before you set out. Once you know your bearings, you will find that the hotel is convenient and offers value for money. The reception staff speak English, and we got everything we requested for. The room is spacious and clean. The room lighting is fine. Wifi is available in the room and it is not slow. There are a couple of convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel. It is a 10 min' walk from the Metro station (where the mall and restaurants are), but this turned out to be an advantage because the Metro station is always crowded, so it is good to be a little away from the station. You are close to the mall but not too close.

Could do much better

Avoid if you are a business traveller. Room are dimly lit and ageing. Hotel staff well meaning but most struggle to understand English. Food is appalling.

I have booked 2 nights with 2 adults including breakfast paid in full. However including breakfast was for only one person therefore i need it to pay extra for another person. There was no fine print that it was for only one person. Also on the find print for any additional breakfast was RMB 50. However Hotel charged me RMB 100+ Tax. I have showed our print from Hotels.com, Hotel said they don't understand and didn't honored.

Good business hotel

Okay hotel

Rooms lightening is depressing The hotel is a bit old The hotel security is awful, anyone form outside can get the elevator with no check by the hotel staff! If u don't find accommodation elsewhere this place can be considered

Nothing special, but convenient

Pros: Proximity to Guangzhou East Railway Station
Cons: They should consider enhancing the gym.
Location: There are several hotels in this location. It is a place one goes for business, and not for entertainment.
Located near the Guangzho East Railway Station makes this place convenient. The value for money was okay. The breakfast offered the standard basics. I didn't use the gym, but the photos were not exactly luring me to try. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. WIFI connection was very good.

OK Hotel to attend a Trade Fair

Pros: Reception area and the Chinese Restaurant.
Cons: The beds in the room have very hard mattresses. Maybe something easier to sleep on would be nice. Room Service and food quality
Location: Location is terrible and it is ok for visiting the Canton Fair. Nothing to do close by. Long way from every where
Hotel has nothing next to it. Location is terrible.The staff were generally ok and most of them could not understand or speak English. Warren the Assistant Duty Manager was nice and so was Benny at the Chinese restaurant. We stayed for the Canton fair and they provided a bus to go and come which made life very easy. Leo who works at the reception probably has the worst attitude ever in hospitality management with a terrible attitude to his fellow workers, to the Duty Manager and to guests. We saw him speaking extremely rudely and shouting to his team members. He also did the same with us which is an absolutely terrible attitude. He thought we were all doing him a favour since we feel he was under the impression that he was the owner of the hotel. The Spa in the hotel is also a rip joint who insisted that we take the full body massage instead of a foot massage. When greeted you feel that you are probably going to a shady spa.
