Wonderful room with light display outside. Great location for finding food if you’re a little adventurous. Only issue was our room was 85degrees and no ac as it was now officially “winter” and the ac was turned off! Staff did what they could, brought us a bucket of ice. Fantastic breakfast, catering to all tastes

Good overal
Good stay overall. Very convenient location being next door to the subway station and down the road from a big shopping district and main road. Close to the bus that takes you to all the major sites including Ancient culture street and the Tianjin Eye. Not much English but the team is still happy to help.

Excellent location, right in the city centre area. The staff are friendly. Room is spacious with a large comfort bed. The buffet breakfast was mainly Chinese food. Not great choice but for the prices I paid, it was definitely worth it

Location, location, location
A nice hotel with very good location, breakfasts is excellent but mainly to accommodate Chinese customers. A problem for the hotel is people smoking in the unsmoking area. I would not recommend the hotel to people who strongly against smoking. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful especially Liu Kun, Li Xin Ran. Thank you very much for your help.

Reception at check in was not friendly at all. The reservation was for double bed, we mentioned it during check-in, and when we arrived at the room, it hat 2 single beds. Was a hastle to change the room.

The room was clean, but the air conditioning seemed not work well. Shower water pressure seemed low. housekeeping lady was kind of slow, 4 out of 5 days during my stay, the room did not get cleaned up when I came back to hotel around 2 PM.

Room is relatively clean, except at night can be a little noisy due to construction outside (Somehow the construction starts at night). However, location of the hotel is good as it is near to a mrt station.

Good hotel near metro station
Holiday Inn Express Heping was quite good as my expectation (from my past stays in Holiday Inn Express in other areas such as London and Bangkok). Good breakfast buffet, moderate speed of free wifi and kind staffs. Very near to Anshan Dao metro station (1 min by walk).

Great Location. Right Next to Anshan Dao Metro. 2 famous supermarkets in 10 mins walk and an computer / mobile market reachable in 15 mins. Famous Heping Lu shopping Street near as well.

Would definitely not recommend.
Bath tub was so poorly designed that the floor would be flooded every time one takes a shower. Pillows gave me a stiff neck every morning I got up. Second-hand smoke leaked into my room from next-door, and woke me up at 3am one night.

Good location and good room size for the price
Overall, 10 mins walk to shopping belt, prominent building, near main road, so easy to get taxis. Location and size of the room very decent. Only downside, no concerige, free maps from the counter. Also no one to assist on hailing cab to the airport, and no airport transfer. But easy enough to just walk down to get a cab if there are 2 of you. One looks after the luggage, one to hail cab from main road.

Centrally located, 10m from the subway entrance. Great buffet! Hotel does show signs of neglect such as stained and torn carpet but the towels are fluffy and there were three different types of pillows on my bed. Overall you won't be disappointed.

Location near by subway .it is very convenience for transportation. Neighborhood is around many construction workers.. . Hotel is in very good condition , but no entertainment. Room cleaning didn't clean everyday. Didn't clean much... Breakfast is good home made but the same menu everyday... In general speaking , i would give rate at 4 of 5 , especially in economical part I would come back

Pleasing and easy access to places around Tianjin
I stayed there for 5 nights and the the only thing that bugged me was how they had the same breakfast menu everyday (with minor changes like if it was strawberry jam yesterday then it was blueberry jam today). I couldn't eat the same thing everyday so i skipped breakfast on the 4th day and had just cereal on the last day. Everything else about the hotel was pleasing.

Hotel was within walking distance to nanjing Lu shopping stretch. About 10 mins away. Located next to subway , but we took taxis most of the time. Free breakfast and wifi at hotel was a plus for us. They also allowed late check out till 2pm. Overall a satisfactory stay.

I have nearly 2 million air miles in my experience, countless of hotels around the world at all price ranges AND over 30 years of experience traveling in China. This Holiday Express, as a budget travelers hotel, ranks with the best of this class hotels. It doesn't have a refrigerator and the breakfast bar has "mama who who" orange juice and no hot chocolate, but lots of other benefits. Clean, friendly service, budget priced, super location, comfortable bed, with an ACTUAL NO SMOKING ROOM (the whole floor so there wasn't even cigs in the hallway) without even an ashtray (a standard feature in a Chinese "no smoking room"). Staff is as helpful as they can be with their limited English. The internet service is intermittent and a bit frustrating, but workable. Taxi's are readily available. All in all for under $60 per night, I couldn't imagine doing better anywhere.

Wonderful Stay in China
We love our stay in China, and Holiday Inn Express at Heping has made this possible for my family and me. The hotel is near Nanjing Road, Tianjin's main shopping belt and there are many eateries nearby. The staff don't speak English, so do bring along an electronic English-Chinese dictionary if you're an English speaker.

Truly non-smoking room, unlike many others I've been to in China. Clean room and shower stall. Basic necessities included. Power outlets accommodate US-style 3 prong plugs without need for adapters. Decent AYCE breakfast with decent offerings that alternate daily.

OK hotel, disappointing room
Whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, our experience was marred by an incredibly stained and spotted carpet, a potentially dangerous doorstop in the bathroom that we kept stubbing our toes on, and a very uncomfortable, fixed room temperature (too warm for October), which required a couple of maintenance staff to open a window to let in air. Otherwise, it was within easy walking distance up the road, past a park, to department stores (including a classy, yet affordable Japanese Isetan department store). We had a remarkably tasty meal - 5 dishes plus 2 drinks for an unbelievable 6.50 dollars Australian in the basement of the Hipermarket (sic), one block before the Isetan. Other attractions were easily accessible by taxi (cheap).
