Close to a lot of shopping. Good restaurants in the building. Hit the Tao Yuan Chun Cun for Taiwanese style breakfast or Super Boom Boom for lunch. Hotel staff was nice. Room was decent, decent space but a little old. This hotel is closing 10/30/18.

Lovely hotel and fantastic staff.
I found the hotel without any problems, and when I got there I was assisted by the fantastic Tina, who was able to book me a taxi for the following day so that I could head to Tianjin port and board a cruise ship. She also helped me organise for another taxi to collect me and take me to the airport after my cruise. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the restaurant was great when I ate there both for dinner and for breakfast.

Great Hotel part of the shopping complex

Best bargain town!
Fantastic older hotel that needs remodeling but for the price it's the best bargain in town! Large rooms and bathrooms, huge, comfy western beds, & Japanese style toilets. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very Convinent
Location of Hotel is excellent Just on top Line3/Line1 metro station. Hotel is situated between cluster of shopping mall infact the floor 1-6 is a shopping mall with name "The Exchange". Did'nt had food in hotel so can't comment Lots option for dining in an around One Indian restaurant "The Golden fork" nearby about 1 km opposite of Tianjin medical universty

Overall it is Okay, the location is great, the service is good; other than that, we found hair under the pillow, and the bath tub is kinda small for a hotel like this. I mean, for a price like this, one would expect a better room than this... But the location is just perfect, so... you know, a trade off...

one of das worst highend hotel.
I make a booking thru internet to stay for four days from 14-19 Dec 2017. Das room size is okay for two persons. But das room temperature is dam bad. No air circulation in das room, if I turn on das air-condition unit. All i get is warm air, und it will make das room too warm stay for long hours or to sleep in das nite. You will be sweaping halfway during your sleep, all das windows are sealed. Cannot be open even a inch.

Nice hotel in convenient place of city centre
Clean, convenient, nice staff. In winter, the room air circulation is too warm and not comfortable. Suggest to tune down the temperature.

LOCATION IS PROBLEM
BASICALLY THE HOTEL IS GOOD, ONLY PROBLEM IS THE LOCATION THE HOTEL IS LOCATED ALONG THE SIDE ROAD. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING IS OK EXCEPT ONE MORNING I WENT TO HAVE BREAKFAST BUT THE CHEF DOING THE EGG SECTION SHOWED HIS TEMPER WHICH MADE ME LOST MY APPETITE FOR THE DAY.

needs a update
Hotel is looking a bit long in the tooth. Not sure when it was last remodeled. Good Location near a big mall in the ground level of the building. MY biggest disappointment was my room was on the executive floor but the lounge was closed on Saturday and Sundays. I was looking forward to that perk and was let down .

In city centre , all places near , even market
Nice hotel, family suite was excellent. Rooms are spacious .Cleanliness exceptional. Though time spent was less in hotel , still ambience was also good.

Difficult to find hotel
Had problem in finding the hotel, as the lobby is on 7th floor of a building. I reached late evening and the building was difficult to reach for the taxi driver. Not the best of hotels,especially considering the generally high standard hotels one gets in Tianjin or other cities in China. Not recommended, as one can get much better at same or slightly higher price.

Front desk friendly and highly professional. Concierge was very keen to assist. Generally a good class of room but with deficient maintenance - roof light hanging out of the ceiling It was equipped with towels etc for single occupancy and there was no answer from housekeeping on night 1. On day 2 housekeeping saw there were two occupants and still did not supply towels and soaps for 2 until asked. Great bed and bathroom

Hotel was hard to find as the entrance was behind the building. Hotel is nice, priced very good. Desk staff was very nice. Location is very good, close to a lot of eateries in all the local malls. Plenty to see all within walking distance. Will stay again.

Becareful of Orbitz
Hotel was clean, comfortable and well located. However, we booked through Orbitz and the hotel had not received our reservation. Apparently, Orbitz uses Expedia to book hotels in China. Orbit did nothing to help the situation. Fortunately, the hotel staff was understanding and helpful. The staff literally said, we will get you checked in them deal with Orbitz later. I'll go back to the Nikko but I will not be using Orbitz again.

nice hotel close to the universities
I always stay in this hotel when I am visiting my parents who live in Tianjin Univ. It is not a fancy hotel but everything is adequate. Room is comfortable and clean. Price is very reasonable.

Good reliable hotel
I stayed here most of the time during my visit to Tianjin. The hotel is run like an American hotel. So for Americans, it feels at home. There is some renovation for the next door building during my stay. The gym was relocated to a couple of guest rooms on the 8th floor.

Old carpet smell
The hotel has a old carpet smell. Subway link that need to pass through the shopping mall to the hotel is closed for renovation. And there is no walking indication so it took us a while to find the hotel. Bed linen was dirty when checked in. Overall we didn't sleep well.

Generally speaking it is a nice hotel. The front desk is located on the 7th floor so it took me a while to check in. The room is nice and clean. The location is great. You can walk to the subway in literally 3 minutes.

Very centrally located with lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Within walking distance to Wu Da Dao. Very convenient if you are thinking of arriving by the metro from Binhai International Airport (which costs only CNY4 per person).

A disappointing service
Hotel management is not satisfactory. The breakfast offering and the choice and quality of food was one of the worst I have experienced. Having the reception located on the 7th floor doesn't give a good experience. Overall, the management of hotel services including private car parking facility and local sightseeing information is not up to 4 star hotel standard. Will not recommend it to any friends.

Great Hotel, Great Location!
This hotel was great. I travelled to Tianjin from Tangshan for a long weekend away with some friends. We were all very impressed with the hotel. The location is great for shopping and sightseeing. I have been to Tianjin a few times before and this hotel is definitely awesome if you're looking to go on a budget and stay in a great location!
