Tiantai Vacation Packages
Tiantai is situated about 110 miles (177 kilometers) away from Jiaxing and about 120 miles (193 kilometers) from Hangzhou.
Of course, visiting just one place, no matter how popular, usually only offers you a limited view into the broader personality of a region. So try to set aside some time to discover Zhejiang's other sights and attractions. Huangyan, 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the northwest, and Taizhou, 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the northwest of Tiantai are good places to visit if you're keen on learning more about this region.
Approximately 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the southeast of Tiantai is Taizhou, an important regional center home to Niutoushan Reservoir, Linhai Square and Linhai Stadium. Ensure you don't return to Tiantai until you've checked out Taizhou's Kam Shing Shopping Center, Taizhou Stadium and Linhai Ancient Great Wall.
This area is well known for its many old towns; these are often testaments to the area's rich past.
The wider region has plenty of outdoor options for travelers with an affinity for water. Boating and rafting are just two of the popular pastimes here.
Learning the local language is a simple way to break down cultural barriers, so why not make sure you understand a few handy Mandarin phrases before you depart. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" translates to "Would you like todance with me?" "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" ("This gentleman/lady will pay for everything") is also useful.
As the sun sets on your adventures, spend what's left of your renminbi on that last souvenir and say Zàijiàn to the new friends you've made and the places you've spent time.
