We checked in early and they allowed us to go to the room immediately. The room was great! It was much bigger than we anticipated. The bathroom was adequate. The water was super hot! We loved the abundant breakfast.

Mediocre hotel in good location

Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms need upgrading, fitted sheets, ensure toilets all work
Location: Tzfat is beautiful, but very little to do at night. As a secular tourist, it is worth visiting for half a day and spending time in the artists' colony
We stayed in the "modern" wing, but from the looks of it, it has not been modern in many, many years. Given the options if you stay in Tzfat, it is a decent hotel, but compared to other hotels in Israel, it is mediocre. No fitted sheet on the mattress, out toilet barely worked, and the breakfast and dinner were mediocre. We stayed here out of convenience to explore the Sea of Galilee and the Golan. Next time I would stay in a different town with a nicer hotel.

Historic hotel with beautiful grounds

Cons: The bathroom was great. The room was spacious. But the furniture was dated (chipped).
Location: Tzfat is charming and full of great art and history.
Everything about this hotel was magnificent except that my room was a little dated. I understand the rooms are in the process of renovation, however. The grounds, the views, the exercise facilities, and the common areas were all full of history and charm. I want to bring my whole family back here.
