Overall the hotel delivers a good experience. Rooms and public areas are clean, every room has a view, air conditioning worked, food was good, service was pretty good, facilities exist, gym and pool are fine, location is excellent.
The biggest problem is parking: There is city parking outside which fines you if you don't pay, and there is no sign to the inadequate, cramped underground hotel parking. Hotel parking is locked manually, so you have to run in and ask several employees to help (might get a ticket unless you have a friend in the car, and you get different instructions on what to do from different employees), wait in a narrow passage to be let in, too small for cars to pass you (and they try to pass you), parking is tricky, and getting out again is tricky.
There is a spa, but it was fully pre-booked the ENTIRE week we were there, so my wife did not get a single spa treatment at the hotel. That was a bit ridiculous. We walked to a different spa and paid to go there instead.
Other problems are minor. The hotel is aging and could use new paint, fixtures, and furniture (but it is clean). Shampoo was missing the first day and the laundry line did not work and did not get fixed. The food was good and plentiful, but not world class. The pools are small and have no lap lines, so doing laps is difficult or impossible. They forgot we were on honeymoon.
The price was not cheap, but it was cheaper than a luxury hotel, so there you go. Overall, it was fine.
