Fantastic hotel and lovely staff!

Posted Nov 15, 2017
After having a disappointing stay at our first hotel we chose, arriving at this one and being welcomed by a lovely gentleman (we can’t remember his name) restored our faith in our holiday within the Bay Area. One of the best things about the hotel were the staff. If they walked past you they’d always say hello, and also their knowledge of the Tiburon area (Like the ferry to San Francisco, which they handed us an information sheet upon arrival). Another thing we enjoyed was the heated pool and the spa area, open till 9pm it gave us chance to use them at least once a day. Which also got us chatting to some of the other people stopping there too. The only two disappointing things were (which really didn’t bother us much at all) was that you can hear the people upstairs walking around quite loudly, and the windows seem to be only single glazed so there was a lot of outside noise (this didn’t start until about 9am). We will 100% be stopping here again if we’re in the Bay Area.

Evacuation Stay

Posted Oct 22, 2017
Location: Great restaurants, shopping and hiking.
We were at the hotel with our two greyhounds while under evacuation from the wild fires. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. In fact, the hotel was also housing some of the First Responders and it was great that we all had a base so close to a grocery store, drug store and laundry mat, not to mention easy walking distance to the main street for pizza, burgers at Sam's etc.

We were dismayed to read about the losses of so many due to the wildfires. We strived to do what we could for those that were evacuated. The Northern California community has come together to help those displaced as well as the first responders who put their lives on the line for us every day.

Unexpected early check-in Sonoma Fires of 2017

Posted Oct 12, 2017
We had evacuated from our home in Sonoma County. Being blocked on three sides, we had to head to the coast, drive at night down hwy 1, starting out at three a.m. Arriving in Marin, could not find a room by calling around so....we called Expedia and explained our situation. Need a room ASAP check-in (as I had not slept all night and husband few hours). They found us this Lodge. Booked it for us and made sure we knew where we were heading. Upon arrival there were about five groups (also evactees from the fire) waiting to check-in. The staff had no idea we all were coming. Very professionally assured us all that we were pre-paid and will be accommodated. It took under a hour but we were checked in and I napped and my Husband went down for a wonderful breakfast. Beautiful rooms (kinda felt guilty for others up north). One observation was a young father that needed some formula heated for his infant as there were no microwaves in the room. Someone from the back office promptly came out, took him in back and took charge of the situation. Lovely beautiful grounds and close proximity to restaurants, drug store and grocery. Everyone in the community were very helpful.
