A vacation from our vacation!
We took a quick overnight to Locarno from our Italy vacation and I’m so glad we did!! The room was comfortable and clean the view awesome. The staff friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant and bar. Also the food top notch from aperitif to dinner and breakfast best we have had in Europe so far!!!

Excellent hotel for quality of service and amenities. Well maintained condition , very clean. Lovely garden area to relax and use the pool. We travelled by train and only down side was the steep uphill walk to get to the hotel from station. Only 10 mins but hard going with luggage. Hotel provided a free public bus ticket on check in which was great for getting around the local area.

The service staff in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Overall the hotel comes across as very child friendly

Beautiful hotel but location was not ideal.
Beautiful hotel. Big, clean rooms and nice, cozy bar with a cool atmosphere because of the artwork throughout the hotel. If the weather had been nicer, I would’ve spent more time in the lovely garden. I would stay here again, but be cautious of the location. The hotel is quite far up the mountain, away from the lake. We had a car so it was no problem.

Beautiful traditional European grand hotel!
Only got to stay one night at the traditionally elegant hotel in Locarno. Excellent location for views of the city and the lake. The hotel is one of the original grand spa hotels in Locarno and has an old-world European style and character that may not be to everyone’s taste but it is definitely comfortable, impeccably clean, great pool and spa area, beautiful grounds and excellent buffet breakfast selection.

Wonderful hotel with large and very clean room. amazing view(lake and mountains).excellent service specially Deborah in the reception and Vitor in the breakfast (prepare the best omelet). Good location close to the center . Very nice Spa and swimming pool in the last floor with amazing view. Excellent hotel highly recommend. For sure we'll back again.

Enjoy the views at the Belvedere
Hotel is spacious. Well located. Shuttke bus to and from the station. Great indoor/outdoor pool area and sauna/steam. Lovely gardens abd outdoor terrace.

Excellently Road hotel immaculately clean service was fantastic. Beds and accommodations very comfortable. Stephen wait staff were excellent that attentive and the food was well prepared for the next one breakfast buffet I would give it five star rating definitely stay there again

It was extremely expensive for what it was. The room was fine, but this was our most expensive hotel room during our whole trip in Switzerland, and the entire hotel had limited lake views (much less proximity to the lake) and was even a hike to the city center. You can do much better with your money.

Premium Hotel in Locarno for a one night stay
In the last week of November, not much choice in Locarno at the premium level for a one night stay, but the Belvedere was adequate. Due to the limited period of our visit, did not visit the spa/wellness, so could not comment on that which was offered by the hotel. Diner was very good but extremely expensive, despite choosing the very cheapest bottle of wine (which was excellent) - more costly than that which would be charged by the very best restaurant in London. However, due to the time of year, had little choice to eat in Locarno as many restaurants were closed. Receptionist was helpful on arrival but was less amicable at departure. Rooms need more power-points to enable computers and mobile phones to be charged simultaneously. As with all European hotels, sadly, no marmalade at breakfast - would have thought that, by now, Europeans would have gathered that everyone from North of the Channel have marmalade for breakfast!!! Next time, will look for a better value for money hotel in Locarno.

Reasonable hotel not far from town centre
Nice spacious room. Location... green, quiet with good pool. Unfortunately, complimentary water is provided only once on check-in... whether you stay 1 night or 5 nights... not understandable :-( Parking is charged daily even though there is garage and plenty of grounds in the hotel and not in middle /town centre. :-(

Perfect hotel
Great hotel, great location, comfortable beds and pillows and they offer a selection of pillows to order if needed. Thier amenities were spectacular, and clean swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and aroma room. The garden was beautiful, with giant chess board and table tennis. Very friendly staff and helpful, the restaurant and bar was amazing.

Wonderful hotel. Great service and very friendly staff. Good location and great views, facilities, breakfast. Only draw back the walk up the hill but they do have discount funicular tickets that get you to hotel quickly.

The hotel had a pool and steam room and sauna that was wonderful to use. Breakfast was included and it was quite good. The funicular next to the hotel was great transportation both into town and up the mountain. Fantastic views of the Alps at the top! Loved Locarno and Lake Maggiorre

Very comfortable, small balcony with great view of both mountains and lake. Unfortunately for us it rained for much of the two days we were there. Also disappointed that the boats were not yet working on the lake. Hotel was fine with a furnicular railway leading up to it from the lakeside. Again the trip would have been better if it had run more regularly and later in the evening. This is the case in summer.

After two days hiking in Ticino, we capped off our Swiss holiday at the Belvedere. The staff was outstanding, the room was beautiful (recently renovated), and the complimentary wellness area was just what we needed! Hotel hallways & elevators could use an update.

A brilliant location for relaxation.
We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them, the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious, and the view from the room was outstanding. It was useful to have the funicular stop at the hotel, and the swimming pool was a bonus. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel close not too far from Piazza Grande
The hotel itself itself is quite nice, the staff is friendly and the rooms are well equipped. Breakfast buffet is good and has a large selection. The view is pretty stunning from the room and also from the breakfast room. We dined there once and the food was amazing. The spa are is lovely but it doesn't have a jacuzzi. The pool was quite cold (we were there in February).

First Class stay!
Everything from the professional staff, to the size of the room exceeded our expectations. The pool and spa were fabulous. The Grotto was a favourite spot for afternoon dining while sun bathing on the grounds. The restaurant is a must as well. The breakfast was simply outstanding.
