Great hotelPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Close to where we needed to be for the weekend. All that we needed was easily accessible.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Close to historic Titchfield church and abbey.
Greeted with warmth and recognition - a great welcome by Rebecca. We had been discussing arrival times etc by phone prior to our visit and were remembered so treated like people, not just 'bookings'. The hotel is well-appointed, well-maintained and clean.

Pros: location; staff
Cons: bed sizes; cleanliness
I paid extra for a King sized bed, but when we arrived we were told their biggest beds were only 4' 6". That's only a double bed. The room was adequate, but the armchair was very worn and tatty. There was someone else's hair on the bathroom floor. The staff were very friendly, but the breakfast was a bit chaotic. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Clean and comfortablePosted Aug 3, 2015
Clean with a comfortable bed, the Holiday Inn met my minimum standards! However my son's pull out bed was uncomfortable and we had problems logging in to the hotel WiFi. The staff were lovely but powerless to solve problems - we were given a helpline number to sort things out ourselves! Our dinner was overpriced and mediocre and a long time coming, but at least children eat free! The highlights of our stay were the swimming pool/sauna/Jacuzzi and the breakfast buffet. This hotel is very close to Peppa pig world so beware the many small children staying in the hotel. To the embarrassment of our 10 year old boy, Peppa also paid us a visit at breakfast time - hope she didn't notice we were eating bacon!

We didn't stay in the end as we discovered the America's Cup sailing in Portsmouth ended early enough in the day for us to make our way home. We telephoned Holiday Inn and cancelled. I'm sure it would have been lovely though!

Great Price, Brilliant ServicePosted Jul 8, 2015 on Hotels
Had visited the hotel for a weekend stay but was pleased with the facilities for the price that we paid. The beds were a bit small and the room was slightly small especially as we had a 1 year toddler with us. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities included indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym. Even the restaurant was brilliant. The food was great and the price was reasonable. Overall would recommend to families for a short getaway.
