Best Vacation ever!Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: everything ; food, clean rooms, amazing staff, snorkeling, diving, one to one attention, custom tailoring pretty much everything
Cons: hmmm....nothing I can think of
Location: do all the daily excursions; all really nice, reasonable prices, and do the daily free 11 am snorkeling trips u guys
let me start with Fiji airlines; one of the best airlines I ever flew on; nice, polite, attentive staff; on time, and pleasant. Now the hotel and staff; I honestly do not know where to start. The Island/Hotel is immaculately clean, island itself sits on one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. Great snorkeling and diving. Staff; Assa, Pita, Surali, sal, Sandy,( so sorry if I failed to mention all other names) Management; all amazing. they prepare meals fresh daily, and their chef is to die for! he accommodated my sons request for bait for fishing and cooking the fish for him every time he asked ( sometimes more than once daily) and oh, of course, great fishing as well, the guys at the dive shop, are simply, above and beyond any of our expectations. usually, one would say; 2 thumbs up, honestly, I wish I can say; " 10 thumps up", I would highly recommend this if you are looking for; stress free, friendly, one to one, attentive vacation!

Beautiful island, lovely people, great food.Posted Jun 29, 2015
A place to get away from all technology and stress. We enjoyed the perfect family holiday. The kids enjoyed physical and recreational activities, or just lying in a hammock with a book. The management and staff became family and catered to our every need. They knew us all by our first name. The food is exceptional; healthy and fresh and never boring. We will certainly return.

Awesome Place to RelaxPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: The staff were genuinely friendly and the resort itself was just so relaxing. It is simply just a beautiful place.
Cons: Nothing could be improved, it was perfect.
Location: The island is located a short taxi and then boat ride from Suva airport. Each day there is a program of optional activities to partake in.
My wife and I decided to get away from the stress of work and cold of winter for a week and Toberua was the perfect place to do both. From the minute we stepped off the plane everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The resort itself was pure luxury with a spacious Bure facing the water and the meals are absolutely amazing. If you are there to relax or you want something a bit more active Toberua has it all. A daily activity program is delivered each night. We would recommend the village visit, the staff volley ball game, picnic island, and of course the snorkeling and the diving. The snorkeling is fantastic, there are numerous sites around the island to visit with bright colourful corals and plenty of marine life. I did one dive while I was there and we managed to spot 4 turtles which was pretty cool. What really made our holiday though were the staff. They are so friendly and accommodating, we wanted for nothing. It was quite sad to have to say goodbye. We are already planning to travel back there.

A peaceful oasisPosted Jun 4, 2015 on Wotif
Cons: The transfers aa rip-off - taxi pick up was charged extra (supposedly included) and done on their schedule (supposed to be any time you want)
Location: Make sure you book your travel to Suva, not Nadi - the island is a 20 minute drive then 30 minute boat ride from Suva and there's nothing else nearby.
Toberua was a beautiful little island with wonderfully warm staff, fantastic food and a great array of activities to make a lazy getaway highly enjoyable. The good: the food (even though there was so much), the friendly staff who were happy to keep you company or stay out of your way, the beautiful location. The not so good: even though there were only 4 bures taken whilst we were staying there, they put everyone next to each other (including small children), and the food and particularly the island transfers were expensive. The place you want to stay if you want beautiful seclusion.

Tropical ParadisePosted May 31, 2015
Pros: Great location, great staff, good food
My wife and I just spent a wonderful six days at Toberua Island. Beautiful location on a sandy tree filled small island. First of all we would like to thank the wonderful staff who made our stay most enjoyable. Lots of singing and lots of laughs. The Bures and the grounds are well presented with a high degree of attention to detail. A lot of effort has been made to make the island self sufficient in water which also aids the local village in times of drought. If you get a chance make the trip to the local village. There is some great coral reefs to snorkel on. My wife and I went scuba diving for the first time and throughly enjoyed our exprience. The food is a real high light. You never go hungry on Toberua.

Just too goodPosted May 10, 2015
Pros: Staff, Cleanness, and they very care about you
Cons: If they can have a outdoor playground for kids will be excellent.
Location: Fiji village to visit on every Tuesday, very enjoy to know their native live and very warm welcoming from them.
This hotel is so good, kids friendly, fun, relax, anything you can think of on a small island beach holiday they have it all. This really give us an experience on your own island, food is beautiful, people are fun. The best point we like if our child is so enjoy on this trip, never worry they will get lost, every staff are so friendly to have fun with your kids and they can play together in a band as well! this island is near to Suva and it require more trip to get there. But it is worth for all the time you spend. Vinaka!

A place in paradisePosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The people and the amazing food!
Cons: Nothing....it really is perfect. The WiFi is shocking....but that's what made it perfect! You're not tempted to be online and not readily contactable!
Location: The local village tour is a must, a tour of bird island, snorkelling, diving, paddle boarding and kayaking are available.
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived on the island to when we departed. The staff are genuinely friendly, the food amazing and you can't help but unwind and relax in such a peaceful environment. There is no pressure to partake in activities, you can do as little or as much as you want to. A highly recommended trip is the one to the local village, it was such an experience to meet with the villagers, enjoy kava and singing and dancing with them. The highlight was the tour of the village school, such passionate scholars and teachers. They have so few resources so take some books for their library, pencils and exercise books or anything you can, they are so appreciative of any donation. The only bad thing about the holiday was it wasn't long enough! We stayed 8 nights and felt at least 10 would have been perfect. A truly unique place an experience that we will repeat!

The perfect relaxing tropical getaway with amazingPosted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Everything! The staff are divine and you can be involved with the various activities or relish the solitude and privacy the island presents.
Location: Heaps, from snorkelling, trips to nearby villages and deserted islands, mangrove kayaking and day trips to the original capital of Levuka.
The relaxation begins on the boat journey from the mainland out to Toberua and we were greeted by the staff on the jetty and serenaded, which continues at each amazing meal. The rooms are perfect and all face the ocean and the lack of TV and phones in the rooms is in my mind a holiday at it's best. Nothing is contrived, just the perfect idyllic tropical paradise. The staff greet you warmly and you very much feel like it's your island. With daily snorkelling to breathtaking reefs brimming with tropical fish and coral and activities and daily tours to boot if you get tired of lounging in your own private hammock or deck chairs. Sandra and Max are pacific aficionados and a vault of knowledge of the area - though rather modest so do ask questions, they are fascinating hosts! The food is amazing and I loved that the only time frame I knew was the beating of the drum to herald meal times. This is my second time to Fiji and would recommend this island over any of the big resorts anyday!

The resort offers several fun activities and day trips to take part in everyday so you are never lacking something to do. We went in September and the weather was fantastic. The staff is absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back!
